I love how people actually equate Micheal Bay to Joss Whedon, it just shows they absolutely have no clue about movies beyond their petty biases. Even if you guys do have nitpicks with the trailer, why not bring it over to the Avengers board? Too afraid of getting blasted? Why can't we love both. My favorite hero's are ALL DC characters but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the greatest thing to happen to comic book fans. It's motivating DC to raise the bar and play catch up. Whether that is possible is yet to be seen but at least they are trying.

Did you pull this out of yo ass?

If you are referring to me, I wasn't. I saw robots and destruction and thought "Transformers film" because that is the focus of the transformers films. I am aware Whedon can do destruction and robots without giving a film that is mere mindless destruction and robots like Bay would. Therefore, AOU looks like a very good transformers film because it'll have more than that. Trust me, I know AOU will be far from any Transformer film.

I only acknowledge one Transformers movie.

:hehe:

Let us not exaggerate here now. It seems to be only two members on here who are not all the at high on the trailer, the rest on here is positive. I still laugh at the Birdman shot jumping cause he just looks awkward. I hope they don't catch it and leave it on the final print.

What is the "birdman shot"?

Also, I don't mind Common as GL.

He was good in the cowboy AMC series. I like him, but I'm biased cause I really dig his music. Lawd.

I'm also not too impressed so far with AoU, but I hope it's good. I enjoy both Marvel and DC films. Also, there are 423 people currently viewing the AoU forum...how many people do you guys think will be viewing this forum when the trailer drops??

We had 270+ users viewing this section when we thought something was going to drop during the Super Bowl, 300 when the Aquaman poster was dropped, and like 500 when the first BatFleck pic was posted.

The AoU trailer is solid. It's no different to the Whedon/Marvel formula that works. I don't think anybody was expecting anything different or expect Marvel to drop the ball. They are far too into their successful formula to change anything up and shouldn't IMO.

I think it's a good trailer, but it didn't exactly blow me away. I actually prefer the F4 teaser.

He's pretty good on that show. He's come a long way and I think he could be a really good GL.

Your avatar is wonderful.

There is the comic con teaser.

How great is it that DC fans have that SDCC teaser to hold themselves over. All we have to do is go cross-eyed doing it but hey, I THINK I can make out Superman's heat vision.

AWESOME.

Yep. And if Gal had a suit like the dudes, she would have muscle padding like the dudes. This would be a non-point. Henry and Ben are in shape, but their superhero look is aided with a muscle suit. Gal doesn't have that luxury, and it pisses me off that this is the only thing that gets focused on. It's frustrating having a daughter on the way knowing the world that she is coming in to, and the way that world sexualizes/objectifies women. If Gal's performance sucks, then she sucks. But if she's great, she'll still be viewed as less than ideal because of her body. I'm not trying to be a "holier-than-thou" jerk, I'm no better than anyone else, I would just like to see a change.

\end rant ;)

I just had to reply to this to say that I agree wholeheartedly. I have a daughter and I share the same concerns about her future. It is saddening how women are judged in today's society.

Somebody's biased.. get your head out of your butt.. that shot is straight off the comic pages. There is a reason everyone's freaking out.. it's glorious. If that was Justice League you'd be pooing your pants in excitement.

lol the trailer itself is good, great even.... but that shot is bad. Poorly executed strangely shot. Hawkeye looks especially horrendous.

Whedon actually has characters and doesn't treat all his women like sex objects. You can also see what the heck is happening on screen. But i still don't like the new trailer or most of the footage for this movie so far. The new trailer looked like a destruction fest and just an excuse for Joss to make more money and have a "set-up film" for Civil War. We all know this is Whedon's last movie, and it looks like he just wants to do his duty for Marvel, which is to create a set-up. It does nothing for me. At least im excited for Civil War and future Avengers movies though due to Spider-Man's involvement and the new direction (Joss is 10 times better than Bay but i still don't like a single thing Whedon has done).

Thank God the Joss Whedon era is about to be over.

I do agree that it's motivating DC to play catch-up. I have a feeling that Joss Whedon will one day defect to DC to make the Batman movie he's wanted to make. Im pretty sure Warner Brothers will let him too, once the Affleck stuff is over-with.

So if it's straight off the pages, it has to be good? Or we have to enjoy it? I didn't dislike that shot, he did, but i see why he would hate it. I thought the jump was a little eye rolling personally but i didnt hate it. If Justice League had a similar shot, i would hope it's shot differently though. Maybe i have to see the trailer again.

I'm sold by that shot, I wasn't going to watch the trailer because I didn't want another Hulk saves Iron Man moment spoiled but goddamn.
Ultron puts the Man from M.U.R.D.E.R to shame.
