I don't mean to be "that guy", but we seriously need a trailer within a couple of weeks, like in March. I think May is pushing it way too far. A teaser for something this big should at least be a full year before release, so March has to be the month, in my opinion. Also, putting the first footage/teaser in front of Avengers on May 1 is a bad move, and I don't think that'll steal any of Marvel's thunder.

So I think we're getting a trailer in 3 weeks. (I'm no expert or anything.)

People said that the reason why Zack released the Batman photo was because they were going to start filming Batman outdoors. And throughout the entire filming nobody has gotten a set pic of Batman. While Snyder did release a photo of the Batmobile, it's much harder to hide the Batmobile than the Batman.

I never believed any of the teaser/trailer rumors, but I'd be very surprised if we didn't get something on or before the 1 year mark.

There's no rule to say it should be a year out the first trailer.

It's all about marketing. You don't wanna blow your load early.

Yeah, in that snap video it was clear he was missing eyebrow. Normally you'd be able to see it if you looked at a before pic and compared. I'm also wondering if that's why he was covering one half of his face?

Not usually, no. Some of the biggest films get teasers a year in advance, but it's usually two or three films per year at most. And even huge releases don't necessarily get a teaser a year in advance. The teaser could be anywhere from seven to twelve months prior to the release date.

Getting your trailer in front of as many guaranteed eyeballs as possible is NOT a bad move. Nothing will distract from Avengers: Age of Ultron, but WB will no doubt release the teaser online a few days before anyway, so it's win-win.

Warner Bros'. CinemaCon panel on April 22nd should definitely go unnoticed. I expect that's when the teaser will play and it will then be show in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron and eventually, every other movie coming out this summer.

This. The teaser will no doubt be in front of Age of Ultron. They want as many people seeing it as possible and they know that there will no doubt be an immense amount of people seeing Avengers.

I am only leery about putting it in front of Avengers if Disney puts the first full Star Wars trailer with Avengers as well. I think that's the only film that could steal it's early buzz.

Besides that I don't mind it coming out in May. I'm impatient though so naturally I'd like it to come out at the end of March or early April.

Somehow, I doubt we'll ever see any on-set or on-location photos of Leto's Joker during the film's production.
