Man it's a shame the DC animated movies went so downhill after this.

Let's just call it they are doing their own things, just like in the comics. They need to have their own individual films where they are on their own fighting their own villains just like in the comics. It seems fairly easy to me. The solo films are like the solo comic series, the team up films are like the event series or crossovers in comics. Simple as that. We need to see our heroes fight their own battles aside from them teaming up with other heroes to fight bigger threats.

None of the other heroes showed up because shared Universe hadn't become the "it" thing to do and the film would have cost more money.

I don't need a shared Universe but if it's the only way the people at DC are going to give me a Wonder Woman ect, ect movie than shared universe it is.

...all these reasonings, (above and others not quoted here) seem to suggest that the other heros in both universe's had better, more important, more exciting things to do than help their comrades save the world...again !...

If so, Why aren't we watching those movies!

( offered in jest...I know, we will be seeing those if DC and Marvel have anything to say about it :sly: )

Blame dc 52.

Though Scott Snyder and Brain Azz's work have yet to really be tapped.

They're attempting to adapt Court of Owls with the next Batman movie: Batman vs Robin. Just from reading the synopsis, it's not a faithful adaptation.

Damian Wayne has established himself as Robin, but he continues to clash with Batman over the latter's rule of not killing criminals. When he becomes the recruiting target of a criminal secret society called the Court of Owls, the Dynamic Duo face their greatest opposition: each other

Don't blame the New 52. The animations are far worse than the source material (specially Throne of Atlantis, which is better than the other animations, but way worse compared to the arc), and the animation style and character designs are just terrible.

The first JL arc is mediocre, but JL War multiplies the worst parts by 10, and features endless fight scenes.

I think story wise, yeah, the recent DTV's have been sub par, but the designs, aside from the New 52 costumes, are on the money.

Blame the people behind the animated films because none of these adaptations have been particularly faithful in narrative or quality. In fact, Son of Batman wasn't even based on a New 52 story.

Fixed. :o

I still think all of the BTAS, STAS, and JLAS are better than any of the DC animated ones afterwards.

It will be pretty tough for any superhero animated show to top B:TAS.

I enjoy Batman Beyond after BTAS. But I do miss Young Justice. :(

I don't believe in that scapegoat unfortunately.
Alot of these creative types were present for pre 52 dtv. This material, this batman...Atlantis..wonderwoman...Superman even..
I smell Johns all over it.
It will only get worse when they give us that funky 52 martian manhunter stuff.

dear god...
This Damian crap needs to go. Morrison has given me alot of good things in this life, this kid however..

Part of the last hurrah for hand-animation in the West. :csad:

Beyond I pretty much group in as an extension of JL/BTAS. I liked it too, but it was really more about an aged Wayne than the new Batman, at least in what I found interesting.

I didn't mean that the costume designs are bad in the new animations, but the way the characters are drawn, specially in Flashpoint.

As for Azzarello's WW, the producers of JL War said they would do one film centered on WW, but with the League. I believe they will adapt Azzarello's storyline, but including JL I don't know what to expect.

Dear me, no.

Since they did such a great job with her character in War. :whatever:

She loves ice cream tho.

Justice League War made them look like they were a bunch of brainless thugs. And don't even get me started on what they did to Darkseid. Christ I hated that ****ing movie.
