As cliché as it may be, I like to see the old shirt rip followed by a dramatic, larger than life rescue sequence.

I've said it a couple of times but I'd have that as the first scene in the movie. Lois and Clark at the Daily planet maybe talking about their investigations into Lex or the "Bat Man". Clark here's cries for help and Clark runs off and we get an iconic shirt rip. :awesome:

Maybe not but I'd still like to see a sequence where he stops a train. We always hear that he's "more powerful than a locomotive" but we've yet to see that from him on film. In the Donner film, they couldn't realistically pull that off so they had him lie down and become a train track (which makes even less sense).

Will Smith already stopped a train before Cavill could.

Interesting rumor about Max Landis possibly writing MOS 2, especially since he was such a vocal critic of the first one. Not sure how I feel about it, really... Landis is a very good writer but after watching that video of him talking about MOS, I really grew to loathe him. I was fine with his criticisms of the film, but he just came off like such an arrogant a**hole that it made me want to see him get blacklisted from ever working on a movie again. Still, if he is indeed working on MOS 2, it would make me excited because it would mean that A. there WILL be more solo Superman movies (Wrong again, Tobias!) and B. they have a talented writer on the product (even if he is a total *****ebag and a byproduct of Hollywood nepotism).

You know, I like to see some destruction happening to truly get a sense of a grand scale where 2 god like beings are fighting. So I would disagree with him on that one.

But atleast he is not bashing the neck-snapping. He gives valid reason as to why it is okay. So you have to hand it to him on that one. But if it means no destruction if he writes a superhero script, I will be skeptical. He is not writing Batman because he hates Batman. So if he really is writing a Superman movie then I am concerned.

+1 I was thinking about a train sequence as well since a plane rescue was already perfectly done in Superman Returns. And I agree about the Reeves' Superman becoming a train track.

LOL Nice one. I loved Hancock. Is he deep inside the engine after the train hit him. That actually is a very realistic scene.

Superman stopped a runaway subway train in Superman IV by stepping on the third rail. Although I don't think anyone remembers the scene or the movie for that matter.

You are right, I don't even remember this.

And I don't remember it being so similar to the airplane rescue scene from Superman Returns.

The only thing people remember about Superman 4 is Nuclear man's nails.

Yeah, while I do hope that future Superman movies don't have destruction on the scale of MOS (not so much because it bothers me but because I'm tired of hearing people b***h about it... and those tend to be the same people who had no problem with Captain America blowing up three giant aircraft carriers over Washington, D.C. or the Guardians of the Galaxy leveling half a city with Ronan's ship) I would say not having anything at all would also be a mistake.

And yeah, the Hancock train-stop was pretty awesome. So maybe that might keep them from doing it.

I'm sorry but it's been several times now that I've seen you say this, and every time, I can't help but think that it sounds like a lame intro into an episode of Goosebumps or Scooby Doo.

and?
I said I'd like it to happen not that I think it will. But unlike others I don't got and say for certain oh yeah it will start off with Batman taking out some thugs. :funny:

I'd like it to start where the last one left off.

While the Hancock train stop was awesome to see, to be fair, the way he did it would have killed every single person on the train.
You cant instantly stop something like that, be it a car, plane, whatever, and not have deaths happen.

I'm kinda hoping for a save that really shows off superman's strength, something like saving a huge sinking cruise ship or aircraft carrier.

That's why it's a job for the Supermurderman.:o

We should get a dark, gritty Nuclear Man as the physical enemy in BvS. :o

Cast carrot top is nuclear man, pronto.
Gilbert gottfried as bizarro,
and will ferrell as metallo.

Who has been the worst villain in comic book movie history? Nuclear man is up there certainly.

Where is this rumor coming from? Seems unlikely.

Nuclear Man, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane (B&R version), Doctor Doom, Galacloud, Rico from Judge Dredd, The Octopus (The Spirit), that villain from Supergirl, 2014 Shredder?
