So either Dick is Bruce's adopted brother, Bruce was just his mentor and the only "Robin" is Carrie Kelly, or Bruce tried to save Dick, but he never made it out of that circus.

What if-Robin faked his death for some reason. Then he could be Nightwing in Bludhaven, while Batfleck is mourning his loss.

I mean, why just kill off the most famous Robin? :hmr:

His tombstone wouldn't be on the grounds of Wayne Manor, especially without his parents tombstones.

I know it's been discussed but the rifle part brings it to mind again. Given how heavily inspired by frank millers dkr this film obviously is (the rifle, the suit, etc.) how likely is it that we'll get a little bit of Jared Leto joker? Seeing as joker is an important part of that arch. Not to mention how dolled up Leto has been getting recently on Twitter. I'm thinking an ending similar to the animated dkr film. Pan to the back of joker sitting in a chair in the asylum watching a news report about the batman superman fight, cut to jokers face saying "...darling" boom cut to credits. What do you guys think.

They don't have the fans in mind for everything. The general audience may get confused by "There's Robin, he's not in the movies, he had a falling out with Bruce, and then there was a second Robin but he died, and now there may be a new third Robin who is a girl". They may be thinking "OK, we're still nervous about having a costumed Robin in our movies because of the Shumacher fiasco. General moviegoers and even some fans dont seem to want that so let's just kill off the first Robin and he'll be the only one who died."

If they're pretty much done filming and are releasing Trailers (and possibly posters) why is this movie a year away!?

I think they are trying to avoid "Batman burning through Robins" problem that is in the comics.

It was already supposed to come out a couple months from now.

The delay for production wasn't a year, but with how jam packed this year was, there was no other free slot until the following year.

Yeah hence my suggestion they may merge Grayson and Jason's stories into the one character.

Robin is still a staple of the franchise. Everyone knows robin about as well as batman. I think there will at least be a mention. All the audience needs to know is that, there used to be a robin and now he's dead. Carrie kelly steps in and is the new robin. You could have an exposition story similar to jor-el speaking to kal about the krypotonians history, where batman tells her that dick was the first but he quit doesn't know where he is, then Tim came along and got killed by joker and now I'm passing this onto you. It could work

Ok, that cancels that. Let's say Bruce and Dick are about 10 years apart. I had this idea once that the death of Dick's parents reminded Bruce of the death of his own parents and that was part of the reason Bruce went on his journey to train. Then Bruce comes back and meets Dick and asks him if he wants to avenge his parents death. This would be ***** only mission because the killer is a major Batman villain like Joker or Riddler and he ends up killing Dick.

We're fans and we can keep up with it. Honestly, im a fan and i can barely tolerate it. They always have the general viewer in mind so it might be a little confusing or annoying for them to keep up with 2 or 3 Robin's. Not that they're stupid. It's just more like "get to the point". If they dont have any Nightwing spin-off plans and they dont want the solo Batman movie (or Justice League) to feature Batman and his buddy sidekicks fighting evil, then it's not a bad decision to kill off Grayson like they did with Todd in the comics. In my opinion it adds more weight. I never liked Jason Todd as Robin and to me he was just a gimmick anyway.

His family were poor circus performers. I doubt they got a proper burial when they died. Given how long Richard is Bruce's legal child, it would make sense that he be buried in the "family" grounds. He is family after all. But I doubt he's really dead, Snyder knows better than that

sorry say that but i expected something more impressive for the first teaser of one of the most antecipated movie of all time, i dont know if this kind of tone is the right thing to do, WB must think if this movie fail every DCCU is in trouble, and like you or not, the GA dont want to go to the cinema to see a superhero movie so serious, or any kind of entertaining movie like this, i loved the trailer , but we are fans, see the success of FF7, marvel, and others entertaining movies, they have humor, if BVS will be so serious i doubt it will be more sucessfull than MOS was, sorry for my bad english by the way.

Better than what? Things are changed in movies for good reason. It's still a business and i guarantee WB is still shaking in their boots anytime a writer suggests using Robin on screen in a suit.

Id like to think that Joker killed Robin, even if he was a rookie and child, because there's a ton of rumors that say Joker did this. Rumors of Robins suit in the batcave. So i believe that.

Im curious, what did you want to see in a teaser? It's only a teaser and to me it delivered. It introduced us to the tone, the main characters, what they're doing with Superman, some cool shots of the new Batman. That's all a teaser is supposed to do.

The GA don't want to go to the cinema to see something serious? Of course they do, don't insult their intelligence. Once again, this a teaser, there will be lighter things and humor in future trailers but even if that wasn't the case, people want their Batman dark and they liked MOS enough if you look at the box-office for that one.

BvS will make close to a billion, if not a billion no problem. Of course it will be more successful than MOS. Even if it was a spoof it'll make insane money.

Just because the General Audience is loving Avengers or Furious 7 doesn't mean they wont flock for a dark superhero movie that features Batman and Superman.
