And Ultron is totally different to himself in the trailer. Basically the whole tone is. It's very....very light hearted.

That's how I felt about Iron Man 3.

BTW is Ultron a good villain?

No, no it didn't AnneFan!!!!! Neither did the Star Wars trailer! I was so pissed off!
How annoying. I'm going to see AoU soon enough, so I'll brace myself for no trailer as well.

No to Hammer.

But... :csad: :o

WHAT!? The entire reason I bought imax tickets for opening night was to see the BvS trailer (and possibly Star Wars)

Guess I shouldn't be surprised after Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World's very tonally misleading trailers.

really we have this wealth of info to talk about and we're discussing X-Men and Avengers????

weird how Singer just keeps adding characters to his movies an no one bats an eye

Ehhh... it's not widespread, but there's a fair amount of moaning in the X-boards every time we get word of new castmember.

It does have it's dark moments, but they are quickly changed into humorous moments.

I was thinking that maybe the possible Clark line on the trailer ("human beings have a terrible record of following people of great power") is not him talking about Superman, but Bruce Wayne.

Saw AoU last night and no BvS trailer.

The Star Wars trailer did play though and it was sublime on the big screen.

As for AoU I'll give it a B+ to A-. It somewhat suffers from Marvel sequel syndrome like Thor 2 and Iron Man 2 did. It has some of the most amazing action sequences I've ever seen in a superhero film and it's awesome that every character in the Avengers get's ample screentime, but there are a few pacing issues where quick scenes could have been used to offer breathers between the extensive action scenes.

That said the action scenes don't detract from the story, there is still a lot of world building and character development in there.

I agree Ultron is very different to how he was portrayed in the trailers. He's not the unstoppable badass you might have been expecting. That said I actually preferred the way he was portrayed in the film. I don't think I can talk much more about it without spoiling him so I wont.

I need to see it another time I think, because there is a lot to take in. I'll say as a filmit's probably the least accessible to new audiences and the most rewarding to regular comic readers. There are a lot of easter eggs.

Overall. it's not as good as Avengers, Winter Soldier or Guardians of the Galaxy. It's their fourth best film IMO.

Go see it and make up your own mind. I much preferred Ultron's portrayal in the movie to his unstoppable force feel from the trailers.

Let's bring this back to WB
"I've been hanging out with Geoff Johns and he's a beast. He reinvented the character with the new 52," said Momoa. "Like it or not, I'm the new ****ing Aquaman buddy."
The actor went on to say that in order for his character to mesh with the universe that Zack Snyder established in MAN OF STEEL, some elements from the source material may need to be retuned for the move to theaters. "It has to be realistic and there's a lot of stuff in the comics that won't work on the screen," said Momoa. The actor then revealed that a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie is a year away from filming while a stand-alone AQUAMAN film doesn't shoot until 2018.

I thought Aquaman was scheduled for release in 2018, so why would they start filming then?

Well if Wonder Woman starts production this fall, and Justice League starts filming around this time next year, then Gadot will be living with Diana for pretty much an entire year.

So would it be realistic for THIS film to end on the notion where both Superman and Batman come to the conclusion that having a potential team of heroes wouldn't be a bad idea for the world?
