Just because he tweets it doesn't mean it's official. And he hashtaged DC Comics, WB and Joker75th. I think it was a Joker 75th homage.

Did anyone see the "Damaged" forehead tattoo in the other leaked photos? Anyway, I don't think the director of the movie would release the first photo of such an iconic and kind of public anticipated (?) character and it not be how he'll look in the film. IMO it's legit and I'm cool with it! Looks like a lead singer for a scary rock band for sure

Ledger wasn't punk or grunge. Regardless of inspiration, nothing about the looked reminded me of any punk or grunge. There was nothing really rock inspired at all about it.

Leto looks like he hopped straight out of a Tool video. Or even Nine Inch Nails. Hopefully Trent Reznor does the score.

heath's joker hair was definitely grungy, but that's about it.

I feel like everything I've ever known about this character has been challenged, and my perspective of him is forever altered... and that's genius.

I never knew this character. Nobody has. There is no perspective.
There's nothing to know. You can't know him.

I feel like I'm being introduced to the character for the first time.
