I agree. This actually sounds like it could be legit. And I immediately remembered Cavill's answer to question why Superman wouldn't just kill Batman in an instant - "If Superman is Superman, which he is, he wouldn't". It goes in line with this.
I like this approach. It plays on both characters' strengths and weaknesses. I do wonder if it means that Batman has a death wish like in TDKR or is he just that good in psychological profiling and was certain that Supes wouldn't do it...?

The latter would be very interesting. I too think this scenario with Superman having the upper hand and the situation that might arise from it is likely and I want it to be true but I'm not holding my breath. Like KRYPTON INC said earlier, I'd really like another trailer!

With Batman Forever a hit, a sequel was immediately greenlit. Schumacher wanted to go dark with a sequel, but eventually made 1997’s Batman & Robin after receiving pushback from the studio. The poorly received sequel would change the course of Batman history, sending the studio into a period of years spent years reevaluating what to do with The Dark Knight.

Schumacher: After Forever’s success, I wanted to do The Dark Knight. It was going to be very dark. I remember going to the set of Face/Off and asking Nic Cage to play the Scarerow. The studio, and I’m not sure the audience, was in a frame of mind to go too dark with Batman at that time. It’s interesting how our culture has changed. How the socio-economic-political culture makes it absolutely palatable to see Chris [Nolan]’s Batman — for instance The Dark Knight Rises — which is such a comment on exactly what’s happening. You might be able to track that on all the movies. Maybe Batman is one of those things like Pi. It’s the center of the universe.

Seconded! I'd say the first actual full trailer won't be out till MAYBE SDCC...then the second maybe this holiday season, and then the last one maybe in February? Just my thoughts.
