I don't think that was ever a rumor. Just speculation on someone else's part, which I found interesting. How's that Doomsday rumor working out for you? Oh, how about that Metallo rumor? Or that Parasite rumor. Or that Batman as an urban legend rumor? How about the rumor that Superman dies right before the Justice League is formed? Oh, and don't forget the Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman all having major roles in the film rumor. And while you're at it, go ahead and add in the rumors that Scott Eastwood is Steve Trevor and Chris Pine is GL. I'd rather speculate on some plot that might have something to do with JL than merely accept anything that comes out of El Maybe's mouth (which all of those rumors, including the Doomsday one, came from). But, if you want to take the words of your lord and savior Umberto Gonzales as truth, then go right ahead.
