What I don't understand about Wayne Manor being pretty much abandoned is why? A rich dude like Bruce would keep up appearances, right?
Because it's a visual metaphor for his mental state.

some reaaaally bad stuff must've happened to him (or his loved ones) if he moved out of the manor.

Is this where the kryptonite being in BvS story came from?
EW:
Zack Snyder revealed that he pitched the first idea of a Batman/Superman movie to Christoper Nolan and writer David Goyer while they were making Man of Steel. "I said, 'What about at the end of the movie we do a scene where there's a crate full of kryptonite delivered to Wayne Manor,'" says Snyder. "Everyone was like...'Okaay.' Once you say it out loud it's a problem because you can't unsay it."
This doesn't confirm that kryptonite will be in BvS --merely a possibility. Note thought that this was the first idea, so there must be a second one.

But is he a recluse? Cause it seems like Bruce is getting out in public.

This ain't like bathrobe wearing, beardy. Bale Bruce from TDKR. Even he was still throwing parties and keeping the house nice.

True, but I believe that it's taking inspiration from the "Kingdom Come" with abandoned and ruined Wayne Manor mirroring Bruce's state of mind.

@The Boy Scout

Here is the quote:

http://www.ew.com/gallery/batman-v-...t-look-photos/2233003_mr-wayne-meet-ms-prince

"Batman and Wonder Woman have a meeting of alter-egos as Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince parry and flirt at a high-society function. “I love the fact that there was this Thomas Crowne Affair, Bond-y sexy scene that they wrote about two people who are pretending to be two different people who each know the secrets of the other person,” says Ben Affleck."

I like this quote.

I highly doubt they "just make it up as they go along" on a movie production ranging in the tens to hundreds of millions of dollars...even with hand-held, directors and DPs plan out their shots.

I'm only talking about the hand-held. Hand-held can't be drawn on the storyboards, when you picture it, it looks still. They don't perform how they are going to shot it shaky, hand-held. Synder just decides to keep it unsteady and not hold still.

Well, it could be the movie will feature a dead Robin and a crippled Babs. We know he's roughed up and weary, and Alfred's little "helplessness, that turns good men cruel" monologue implies he's lost a few battles and thus might have some serious issues with "pretending" things are the way they were. Wayne Manor in disrepair may be a reflection of Bruce himself, with him rebuilding it after the film to show Superman has given him hope.

And I love the idea of Bruce and Diana holding a two-sided conversation, particularly if Bruce is clearly trying to glean more information about who she is throughout their meeting. It might do a nice job of echoing a Clark and Lois investigation into Wayne and their own conversations with him. In the latter, Wayne holds the upper hand, in the former, he's the one looking for answers.

It was a nice treat to see all those pictures today. The only one I'm iffy with is Lex. That hair looks absurd, but it's not too problematic since we already know he'll be rocking the bald look.

All in all, this was a great day!

Yoooo did anyone catch EW Twitter cover photo? It's the trinity in solid quality! Someone needs to manip that!

I think at one point in the film he is...then Superman shows up and draws him out. There are going to be flashbacks of course. I think I heard that Bruce is now living in a lake side cottage on the Wayne property...

It's probably a wig (perhaps Snyder's little nod to Gene Hackman).

For his climactic rooftop brawl with Superman, Batman outfits himself with a reinforced mech-suit equipped with strength-augmenting armor and, yes, kryptonite.

That is the cinematic reason. But not the character's motivation.
Well, something has happened to him that left him in that state. Whether it was a singular event or a long, steady decline, we don't know at this point.

Wayne Manor is usually shown as remote and gated off. I don't see any reason why keeping up his appearances as Bruce Wayne would have to include keeping up the mansion. It's away from the city and he doesn't have to invite people there.

Someone post the EW cover photo. It's insane quality!

Cover and pictures look very nice! Things keep looking sweeter for this movie!:)

I saw the cover and images a few hours ago on Twitter, but then fell back to sleep. So allow me to post my authentic reaction...

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!! :atp::atp::atp::mnm::chd::woo::jd::awesome::bow:

The wig was made by Zryson.

I'm thinking that Lex Luthor is bald throughout the film, and he only wore wig because of his vanity.

I nabbed EW's Twitter header. Open this in new tab or save for bigger size.

I am not so sure, especially since it looks more like he has a buzzcut. I believe it is more likely that he'll shave his hair at some point.

I like this quote.

Same. I love it when Batman is given opportunities to be Bond-esque.

Yep. Wayne Manor falling into disrepair is a sign that something is seriously wrong with Bruce. He would never let that happen to his parents' house under normal circumstances.

What he said.

Oh thanks for this. So maybe kryptonite factor in BvS afterall. Either, the source of kryptonite got be the leftover tech from MOS battles or a lab created one.

This does though....I think

If you’re going toe-to-toe with the son of Jor-El, you better come correct. For his climactic rooftop brawl with Superman, Batman outfits himself with a reinforced mech-suit equipped with strength-augmenting armor and, yes, kryptonite.
