I myself have toyed with this idea, though I will admit that I don't like "Unified Field Theories of Super Heroes" in most of my live action adaptations. What if the crashing of the Scout Ship is a key catalyst to the emergence of heroes and villains, and I mean outside of the magical ones or the ones that are Batman like, mostly normal people that wear extravagant clothing and have deep seated psychological quirks.
No, I mean the majority of the pure "Meta Humans". The Scout Ship was essentially one gigantic, space faring genetic engineering lab from a planet of alien humanoids that exactly resemble us. So I am thinking, it was filled to the brim with all manner of exotic materials the Kryptonians used in their birthing process. Things, chemicals, nano machines, strange medications, all used for the Kryptonians to engineer their perfect fetuses. That just crashed in the middle of a populated city, in what was a disaster area. That ship was probably open to the outside environment for a long time before either Superman or the government could reasonably remove it and it's contents from the scene.
So assuming Superman has this thing and brought it somewhere, he'd still need to carry it or pieces of it to wherever he is storing it. It's possible that there could be nano contaminants that are then spread over a nice chunk of the U.S. if not the globe given air currents. Let's say the result is a small amount of the world wide population now primed for a genetic deviation. Meaning Barry Allen under normal circumstances would have been fried by that lightning bolt, but after exposure to these Kryptonian contaminates he instead goes through an incredible genetic change which helps him to survive the event. So now there is a population of people out there that WILL survive some unlikely happenstance, like being in an exploding nuclear blast or getting exposed to harmful radiation, because their genetic structure has been altered due to something from the Scout Ship leaking into the environment. In a way, Superman would truly be the cause of all super heroes. A character like Max Lord wouldn't have survived say a brain tumor until he was exposed, and then he would developed telepathic control powers.
I love the idea of exploring what those organic and non-organic alien contaminants might do, the havoc they would cause. But I don't like Superman being the explanation for Flash or any other DC major hero or villain. Most have rich back stories and even epic mythos to their origins and they simply don't need Kryptonians. It kinda diminishes them in a way.
On another note, I was watching reaction videos to the BvS CC trailer and it's pretty wild to see butch buff grown men tear up, men who have wives and children practically crying as they try to explain what it means to them seeing World's Finest up on the screen together. FINALLY. And almost without fail, people scream out "Wonder Woman!" after Gal's brief appearance in the trailer. The smiles are universal. I wonder if, back in the 1930s and 40s, the creators had any idea how impactful and lasting these heroes would be across the entire globe? Pretty damn amazing.

Cavill has the hair to pull off the comic book look completely
Maybe a bit more wavy from flying as Superman. That's about it though.
