The last time Superman went rogue in the movies, we got this.

You know what always bothered me about this scene...why the heck would Superman waste his time with Johnny Walker Red...he has super powers go top shelf :D

Yes I know that but other than us knowing about a solo sequel we don't know anything else about it. They're not going to tease that in a trailer for BvS are they? Because that has nothing to do with BVS.

Heck we don't even know what story they will tell and who will be in it.

Of course, we don't. But, can't the same be argued for showing us the Robin suit? What was the point of that, then?

I saw both of them as setups for future films - degraded Robin suit as possible prequel/sequels with Death in the Family and Red Hood story lines, and Zod's dead body alluding to sequel(s) with Doomsday/Bizzaro (and perhaps Death of Superman storyline).

In surprised how many people think Superman isn't getting a sequel when they flat out announced that their would be a Batman and Superman films over the next five or so years. They just hadn't given them release dates. Batman could probably come as early as 2017. MoS wouldn't happen until after Justice League. Probably after Aquaman and Flash as well. So they can get that world building Cavill was talking about. Before Cyborg and Green lantern though is my guess. So 2018-2019.

Robin suit will play a part as will Zod's body in BVS. That's the whole point. This isn't Batman solo or MOS 2. This is Batman v Superman.

They're not making a movie within a movie.

Yeah but Zod's body might not be playing much of a role...it could just be used for testing. This Zodbie/Doomsday rumor stuff is a reach.

Of course it isn't. It's a dead body but the plot is for BVS not setting up another movie. :funny:

What the hell movie could Zodbie plot lead to...Zod of the Dead? ;)

I prefer Chris, even if he admits that he prefers Batman. The commenters on Batman News are even level headed.

It's fine that he prefers Batman but he's often **** on Superman and that bugs me. Some of his views on BvS have been selfish aswell, it's like as long as Batman is treated well that's fine but **** Superman.

Man, that guy looks like an ass. I love how he invokes the infamous internet call-out of "well you wouldn't say that if you weren't behind a screen" BS, while actually being the only one in the exchange to use the sorta tone that, IRL, would probably get you punched out. :woot:

He really did use that sort of tone didn't he? I thought my initial comment was fine and I was basically just saying that it doesn't make for good reading all the time. He really overreacted and I've lost all respect for him after that. Clearly he cant take critiscm.

Hm. Well personally I don't think it's right to direct any criticism of any kind at a site owner on their own site. Ya wanna criticize him, do it some place else. It's his site. He can say what he wants, how he wants, when he wants. You don't like it, don't respond to it.

My two cents.

He should be able to take critiscm though. You're allowed your two cents but the guy runs a site with a comments option so I have a right as a reader to give my two cents.

That's like saying you can't complain about a bug in your food at a restaurant while you're still at the restaurant.

End of the day I made a critiscm about his writing and he didn't like it. I also wasn't snarky with him or anything and he was the one who got snarky with me, in fact he kind of lost it.

This scene came to me in day dreaming. During supermans congressional hearing, the superman soldiers attack the court. One of them shoots the senator (played by holly hunter) but she doesn't die. Later in the movie, the senator is laying in a hospital bed recovering. Lex Luthor walks in with flowers like a real gentleman. They have a conversation about lex becoming a senator and eventually president. The senator doesn't like the idea, lex looks offended. He leans into her face with a fake smile and says "...they were supposed to kill you senator" he puts his hand over her mouth and we hear screaming coming from her room.

It makes sense for Batman to get a solo film before 2020, but I can live without the next Superman film until AFTER 2020. That way, it would be the start of a new phase of the DCCU, and thus have a reason. 2013-2020, one Superman film, one Batman film. BvS doesn't really count because it's a Batman/Superman|Superman/Batman movie, and Superman + Batman together is a concept all by itself.

I finally saw the BvS trailer with Ant-Man and its even better in IMAX.

Can he bring her a cake instead? ;)

Lex: I have cake for you Senator, if you like that I have 39 more where that came from ;)

Honestly, I like you idea better than a mind controlled Superman :)

I just read that. Jett seems like a bit of a hothead and it appears to me that's he's just not very warm and welcoming to people that visit his site and especially to those who have differing opinions.

... and what a stupid analogy Sean of Justice has. ''He has a website, so he's exempt from criticism!''. That's a load of B.S.

I didn't see it at my showing. What the hell, I had a friend at work tell me he saw the trailer but he went to a different theater. Do certain theaters show certain trailers?

I was abit taken back when I read it tbh and I did have a few little digs in my replies that I probably shouldn't have but guy overreacted big time. He accused me of telling me how to run his site which I didn't do at all lol

If WB was that excited about JLD, then they would have moved forward without GDT. There has been absolutely no movement on the project to suggest that they are aiming for a fall production.

I personally think JLD should be sidelined for the time being, and I'm glad that's what it seems like WB has done. The project should only come to fruition after the actual Justice League has been properly established. JLD would be a cool, alternative, supernatural take on a team of heroes that exists within the DCEU.

I think theaters choose which trailers they show.
