Why I think Starro is the threat in BvS?
It has long been theorized that Batman, WW and Superman would team up during the climax and fight a threat only they can handle. Speculation on that threat has ranged from Bizarro to Doomsday to OMAC. Well I am here to tell you that I believe that Starro is the new threat.
The Clues:
Our first clue comes from the synopsis:
"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham Citys own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropoliss most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.
And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than its ever known before."
In Man of Steel mankind was almost wiped off the planet. How can doomsday, OMAC or Bizarro put mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before." What could be a worst threat than being destroyed? What about mind controlled?
Could Starro mind control humanity into hating the man that saved them?
The most damning evidence came when we got another look at Lex Luthor:
His sign is red, white and blue...guess who else is red, white and blue...
Once I began to pull at the thread other things fell in line. The \S/ soldiers for instance....
They are in the middle of the desert...why would they be wearing those masks???
To hide the little Starros on their face maybe?
and finally:
Starro fires beams of energy. I imagine that if a giant starfish fired a beam of energy from it's massive tentacle:

When we got the posters from the fan even both feature Batman and Superman with their faces covered...coincidence???
