is it just me or did that star wars trailer just hype me up for BvS even more?

idk why, maybe its just the fact that being close to star wars means BvS is almost here as well.

It's like I've been saying...

The last couple of years has been the build up to an unprecedented time for fans. The road to Infinity War for the MCU, the start of the DCEU, Star Wars films every other year, Fox still pumping out X films, and more. It's crazy... But it's been building up for a while. We've been waiting for this all to actually start and be real. For me Bond is the appetizer. SPECTER is the first shot fired and then in Dec. The Force Awakens is like the opening salvo or awesome.

The Golden Age :hmr:

Yeah I could definitely see the first intended SS trailer hitting before BvS

I'm just hoping for that next BVS trailer by Christmas.

The Star Wars trailer made me realize that BvS has pretty much a great release date. Star Wars will get most of its viewers before the new year and pretty much everyone who wants to see it will be done seeing it before the new year hits. Star Wars is a 2015 movie and will be perceived as such by the majority of the movie going audience.

Unlike in 2015, there are no HUGE movies scheduled in January and February, no movie is going to outperform like American Sniper (13 Hours will come close but will do Lone Survivor numbers rather than Sniper numbers) and no movie coming in with huge fanbases like 50 Shades.

The potential big movies post Star Wars are:

- 13 Hours (100M or so)
- Kung Fu Panda 3 (150M or so)
- Deadpool (maybe 120M, around what Kingsman did)
- Zootopia (170M or so)

These are the biggest movies between Star Wars and BvS. BvS gets to be the "First big movie of 2016", and benefit from the reset post Star Wars and the new year.

I did expect a little more from the Star Wars trailer, but for the most part, looks amazing. As opposed to the BvS comic con trailer though, whoa, we got so much, just stop right there. For Star Wars however, Luuuuuuuuke? But was that his voice in the trailer? Oh well, but did kind of disappoint me that we didn't see him in the trailer, not to mention all the previous ones...oh no...and the last bit, similar to the last trailer, without any kind of epic, bang, the end of the trailer just shows the Star Wars title slowly appearing...

But imagine a third BvS trailer. They spoil the trinity meeting...spoil Aquaman's appearance...possibly Flash and Cyborg...Superman or Clark Kent's first confrontation with Lex Luthor.

Most importantly: The first scene where Batman and Superman come face to face, moreover, their very first lines interacting with each other...

Because when you walk into the cinema, then you're kind of spoiled because you already know what they are going to say to each other.

Imagine for the third MOS trailer, if they didn't show us the Superman and Lois interrogation scene? We already knew Lois would say, "What does the S stand for?" Imagine seeing it fresh for the first time in the cinema? We got a pretty good glimpse of Krypton from the third MOS trailer also.

Think about how much better the experience would have been to see the Hulk saving Iron Man for the first time watching the movie, than seeing it in the trailer already? They could have taken that one part out of the trailer, then it would have been fine.

The trailers need to stop putting in all the good parts.

For The Dark Knight Rises, which I watched all 4 trailers for (I think there were that many, I forget) I went into the movie cinema, having seen all those trailers, yet when I was watching the movie for the first time, I felt like I was watching a whole new movie I had never seen before.

I love how much the Star Wars trailers aren't really showing us much, we will pretty much go into that movie in the dark about most things. It is something I think BvS can do as well too. Like all the people involved in Star Wars know it will be an absolute monster hit, they know they could pretty much show anything and people will come in masses to see it. They can afford being secretive and not reveal too much, way more than your usual block buster could at least because it is Star Wars and it will sell itself. We all know BvS will be a huge freaking hit, there is just no denying it will be. It is Batman and Superman, two of the biggest pop culture icons meeting in a movie for the first time ever, it will simply be a hit. That is not to say it will make more money than star wars or be universally praised by the fans and critics, but to deny it will not be a huge financial success I think is silly.

Because of the obvious hit that this movie will be, I think BvS, like Star Wars, can get away with not revealing too much leading up to the movie. We still have no idea on most things. While we have a nice idea why Bats and Supes will fight, beyond that all we got is just speculation and rumor. Batman and Superman fighting is enough reason for people to come see this movie, because of that, I think marketing can get away with being secretive about a lot things in this movie so when March 25th comes around, there will be so much stuff for us to be surprised for. Just thinking about it has me like :hmr:.

About that SW trailer: got to hand it to JJ. he made the Bowing scene way better than Zack. That scene from Bvs always bugged me. Somthing felt off. It's diffrent charecters, though.

I'm sure they shared the idea (they are close freinds).

But... One is bowing the other is kinda obviously being tortured so... Uh huh...

I don't know if it would somehow make sense to be Lex's plan, but what if in that scene where Superman is bowing to Lex, (either because of kryptonite, or another reason) if it's red k possibly, maybe one of the reasons Batman and Superman fight is because Lex controls Superman with a kryptonite of some sort forcing him to kill Batman.

Sure, context is important. As far as we know, it could be Bizarro bowing to Lex.

But.. Camera angles, rhythm and performance; objectively, as an execution of the idea, the kylo ren scene "win".

Man, if that's the case.. the **** storm.. I can only imagine. The audience, and some fans, will feel deceived.

Well that's a nice way to start off your comments - take a jab at the director.

I'm super-hyped for BVS. At first, Gal Gadot was the reason. I'm Israeli. But with time, this project - and in general, The DCEU - got me. I'm in. Watched
Man of steel about 3 times in the last year.

I registered couple of months ago, when the #2 trailer went online, but my E-mail caused problems, so i couldn't reply. The management fixed it couple of days ago (Thx), and here i am :cwink:

The first thing that popped to my mind when watching the SW trailer was that comparison, so.. YEAH, that pretty much sums up how much hyped i am.

Love Zack Snyder, btw.

Now that's a proper comparison! nice gifs.

Any on BvS speaking at her Hollywood Masters interview.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/amy-adams-jennifer-lawrence-batman-833188

Five months before the much-anticipated release of Warner Bros.’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, one of its stars, Amy Adams, says is still waiting to see the movie, in which she returns to the role of Lois Lane that she played in 2013’s Man of Steel.
“I haven't seen anything of it, except what everybody's seen,” she said on Oct. 14. Speaking of the effects-heavy movies, she added: “They’re kind of hard “They're over the course of six months, so it's a lot of time dedication, but really, really fun.”
Asked to describe her favorite moment, she continued: “I can't give too much away, but I'm coming into a scene and Batman and Superman are both in the scene, so I can say that. And it was just fun. Because they had been working together for a couple weeks and just running it, seeing this dynamic. I'll talk about this when we're promoting the movie and we can tell more. But there were definitely funny moments involving bat-suits and such.”

Someone forgot to remind Amy that DC doesnt allow for fun! ;)

Nah, Superman being mind-controlled is just lame. MOS provided good potential for a real conflict between those two, they're not going to throw that over board.

I don't want those things spoiled either. I really hope they just rehash stuff and add s few things that don't give anything away.

Looking at the CC BvS trailer, I wonder if they showed the Bruce at MOS because they were always going to for the CC trailer OR because of the criticism the teaser got for not revealing enough. From the teaser, the whole "absolute power..." speech gave me the gist of Batman's feelings of mistrust (or fear of) Superman (even if I didn't have specifics). But there were so many that couldn't make the connection at all. And it just seemed like BvS got so much flack. Maybe that's they laid out so much in the next trailer.

Imagine learning that piece of info for the first time at the theatre.

Here's hoping they don't give away a lot. Yeah , I know there are plenty who want the entire film ruined & want a comprehensive trailer with new stuff every week until every part of the film has already been seen. But not me.

Give us that trailer to be seen during SW and minor TV spots that give nothing new away (just a rehash of what we saw). Right now we have more than enough to digest.
