That was an adaptation that didn't really nail it unfortunately. But the story is pretty basic (although I will say it's a story I like) so I'd expect any film to add more in although we don't get straight up adaptations in the movies anyway so I'm sure they'd pull from many sources.

Ah okay cool. I suspect they'll use at least a little bit from some of the more well known animated movies, kind of like Suicide Squad seeming to take a few elements from Assault on Arkham. I'm just wondering which ones it'll be, with JL:War seeming kind of like the most logical option.

If there were a way for them to do Flashpoint Paradox that would be pretty epic, but since it doesn't actually have Batman or Superman in it for a significant period of time that seems unlikely.

Btw it appears the gun Bats is holding at the end of the trailer is the grenade launcher.

I can't believe I saw so many YouTube reactions where people were like "wtf he has a gun!? He's batman!" This is the kind of **** that makes me shake my head.

New 52 Justice League origins.

Yeah but JL:War was a crappy adaptation. :p

No..no..JL: Origins was crappy to begin with. Not Johns' best work - the book did get better, as soon as ToA storyline began :D

Something like Darkseid War would do (I admit, I only read the first few issues, but I loved what I read).

I saw this too, eventually it starts seeming satirical...like something shaped like a gun obviously means Batman is going to murder a lot of people or something.

Also that story has Batman & Green Lantern fighting Superman, none of them know each other which won't be the case. Also Wonder Woman meets them all for the first time aswell which won't be the case here,

Fwiw I think JL War is a lot of fun and is better when rewatched but like I said its abit to basic.

I imagine the JL movie if the villain is Darkseid will pull from all sorts of stories.

I hope and pray one day they can do Flashpoint, I actually thought they were gonna do that on the Flash but given they didn't it makes me think that story was off the table for the series. Maybe they could do it for one of the Flash movies that way they wouldn't to worry about screen time for others. Only thing is instead of resetting the timeline as he did in the comics/animated movie where he actually rest it to another alternate timeline they'd probably have to reset it to the correct timeline. Infact I actually think Flashpoint would be a great story for when they wanna recast all the roles.

Have you seen the animated movie for Flashpoint? It's amazing.

At first look, that GIF got me worried and I thought "oh no, not the invisible ghost again" as I looked at the soldier on the left and then realized Batman kicked the crap out of him. LMAO.

That kick needs to be highlighted as it was extremely quick.. That looks intense.

Ah yeah, I forgot in the movie none of them knew one another at first, so yeah that aspect would be out. Honestly the only things I really liked from JL:War were the whole Darkseid plot and that Shazam was pretty funny, the rest of the characterization was average. As far as the overall movie, yeah, it's great fun and a really good ride. Nothing too complex, but a good thrill.

I actually decided to ask the question because I'm busy streaming Flashpoint at the moment :funny: I've seen it before, and really enjoyed it and I felt like having a look at it again. One of the reasons why I wonder if they'd ever do it is because Batman (Affleck) and Superman (Cavill) won't really be necessary but it could give Gadot, Miller, Momoa, Fisher, etc an opportunity to do a team-up without needing to get time in Affleck's schedule or to detract from any Superman/Batman solo movies.

Disclaimer, Spoilers below for Flashpoint Paradox, just in case someone who hasn't seen it is reading this.

It just seems like it would be really convenient since it requires all the characters that are only going to get (probably) a single solo outing. I'd like to see a few of the characters like Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Flash in more than just a single solo and JL 1/2, and Flashpoint Paradox feels like the best place to do it. They can cast someone new as Thomas Wayne and Kal, and move from there since they're completely different interpretations of Batman/Supes. Also, from an emotional level I think Flashpoint has the most heart of pretty much any JL cartoon/animated movie I've come across, it would be pretty sweet to see Ezra Miller's Flash deliver the letter to Affleck in the closing sequence of the movie or something.

I'm glad that the speculation about which Flash we'll get in the DCEU can be put the rest.
It's official: Ezra Miller is Barry Allen.

Actually, it was confirmed that he's Barry Allen months ago.

Everyone was out of character in "JL: War". Comic was bad, but the film was terrible.
I don't think Flash was that bad, but Superman and GL were (especially Superdouche in the film).
I loved the way he owned Batman & GL
Yeah, the fights were amazing, I just really didn't care for Superman's characterisation.
DCEU Superman snaps necks so it isn't so far off.:o
Yea, but at least he felt remorse afterwards. :o

Pretty much agreed there, I did like Superman in it myself but I'm pretty biased. But yeah it's just fun.

oh right haha, I think of all the DC Universe Original animated films they've done that Flashpoint is the best of them. It's so interesting and entertaining, I actually watched it before I read the graphic novel swell so everything was a surprise to me when I first watched it.

My god imagine Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Flashpoint Batman :hmr:
