It's a grenade launcher.

I kind of lol at the "Batman doesn't use guns" people. I think normal protocol is out of the question when there is a rampaging monster involved.

Plus, he's used a Kryptonite gun on Supes in the comics.

Oh sorry, I don't think the script itself was released.

A few days ago i saw a leaked script. Didn't read it through though. But at this point it would be easy to confirm if a leaked script is real or not.

According to El Mayimbe, there was never a chance of Zod if I remember right. He named every other villain up until we found out MOS would center on him :D

El Mayimbe's DC scoops are usually misses with few hits. His Marvel stuff seems a little better. Ryan Coogler for black panther, Josh Brolin as thanos, Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Bradley Cooper being rocket raccoon and Colin Trevorrow directing Star Wars IX. While Star Wars isn't marvel, it's still Disney.

Similar, not at all exactly alike. Also... What was the point of the comment that they look the same in the first place?

I think they look kind of similar, so i commented on it. Why are you always confronting people regarding what they think about the movie? Dude, just let it go. You're way too defensive for your own good. This thread is called "all things batman v superman", so you discuss everything about the film.

Here, as well.

I wonder if they'll try to portray the Bat-Belt in a semi-realistic way where's is shown that it's capable of holding all of the gadgets that Batman uses on film (like how Nolan's one did) or whether the belt is just for props like the Burton/Joel films, where anything (despite logic or reason) can be attached to it.

I hope it's more like Nolan's. I loved seeing the grappling gun attached to the belt in some scenes.

I'd imagine it's hard writing a normal human who has no superhero powers and doesn't believe in lethal weapons into your story about godlike beings. That's why i'm cool with Batman being the smartest guy on the team, having unrealistic peak human strength, or using armored bat suits on occasion. No way Nolan Batman could survive the DCEU.

Batman capped Darkseid with a gun in Final Crisis too.

They DO look similar, that's why he made the comment. I don't think that was a personal attack against the model itself, it still looks wicked cool

Not at all. Showing Doomsday is showing how the titular conflict of the movie will resolve. Everyone understands that Batman and Superman won't fight to the end, but what we didn't know was how they were going to resolve it.

It's more like showing how the army at Minas Tirith is defeated in a Return of the King trailer.

I just don't understand how that is just a major spoiler. We knew that they something was going to bring them together. We knew it would be something major that requires both their efforts.

We still don't even know how they stop fighting. Who wins. Was it an easy alliance. Do they still hate each other. I mean there is just so much more.

May I ask... Why are you even coming to post for a film you have only one opinion on so far: That you think it will be lackluster and predictable? Most of your posts boil down to that and frankly when they are not, their are implicit little shots taken. Such as the Samaritan comparison, which feels like you said to knock the creativity of the film makers, as to you it's not "an original" design.

People, have opinions, but this place is not a safe haven from other people having opinions on your opinions. State your case for why you think what you do, but if the reasoning is suspect, then prepare to have someone comment on it. And again... If all you have done is dog the film, yeah, people are gonna smell something. Posters that have been here for a long time that are skeptical can get a pass. I believe those posters are communicating their views in good faith. They are obviously super hero fans and what they have seen is not to their liking. I may disagree with them, argue with them, but for the most part I believe their criticism is coming from an honest place, even if I think they are wrong. Someone that joins and seems to EXCLUSIVELY come her solely to talk about how they have prejudged the film ect.? Sorry. That I have less tolerance for and I am surely not the only one. And to be clear even without that, I really do feel that your opinion on CBMs in general are pretty obtuse and that what you want from mainstream super hero films? Yeah, you ain't gonna get it. They clearly aren't for you, yet you insist on coming here and giving us the same opinion again and again.

Keaton's belt had function. When he asked Vicky how much she weighed, he attached the grapnel to the front of the belt to act like a harness

I'm fine with Batman using firearms like grenade launchers or heavy weaponry when it's against a being who tips the favour into the insurmountable odds category.

But I feel like he should never use hand guns and regular firearms to gain an advantage over the common criminal.

I love that scene in Batman beyond episode 1 where Bruce has angina or a minor heart attack and is forced to rely on a gun to escape the situation. His disgust with the use of it, being one of the key reasons why he quits.

But when it's against a monster it's different. The same as using the gatling gun or missiles on the Batplane.

Other than the wooden grip,I don't think they look similar at all.

I mean, It wouldn't be a negative thing at all if they did. The samaritan is one of my all time favorite movie weapons.
But I'm not seeing it.

Me neither.
