I'm guessing that there's going to be a few people annoyed that Cavil is going to be outshone by another actor, because we know Ben is going to shine the most in this film and costner/Crowe previously

Meh, as a big fan of Batman and Affleck, I'm really pumped from what I've seen of Cavill on this film.

I don't think they'd be considered two separate brands, though. They'd both fall into the DC brand.

Well it's Batman DC's billion dollar franchise that every generation from west to Bale loves dearly, makes perfect sense for Batman to be a slightly bigger focus in BvS then Superman for the sake of survival.

If Warner Bros and DC are serious about starting a financially profitable franchise then it's frankly common sense to put Batman as the centre and focus of this entire cinematic universe regardless of what film it is.

Because at the end of the day = Batman sells

Not going to lie, if they moved the Flash and Aquaman films to like 2019 or something, and replaced them with Supes and Bat solos, I don't think I'd even be mad.
