Here's how I see the Aquaman cameo

The worlds greatest heroes, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are battling Doomsday in Metropolis, the destruction is immense fallen buildings, fire everywhere, the heroes have gotten Doomsdsy near to the Ocean. They're struggling, suddenly out of nowhere riding on the back of some unknown sea creature is Aquaman popping out of the sea. He sees Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman down, he looks across and sees this hulking fire breathing behemoth, DOOMSDAY. He says "**** that" and slips back into the ocean unnoticed as Earths greatest heroes fall :o

that sounds about accurate.

except to add one thing.

when Aquaman pops up out of the sea, Under the Sea plays in the background.

:o

:hehe:

A few tweaks to that. Would look epic.

If you guys are into some light reading, look up Kenny Tarr on Twitter and his conversation to Drew McWeeny.

Long story, short...he thinks Drew and Devin are off base on the "DC's in trouble" idea but the idea of Snyder being gone seems to be an absolute legit thing. Snyder might not get to do JL at all. He's signed to do it now but everything is depended on the box office of BATMAN v SUPERMAN.

I don't even know what to say.

Doubt that. But as long as we get movies with the same quality, I don't care that much about who directs.

Although I find it hard to think of a someone more suitable than Snyder.

The thing that interests me is where does Affleck stand in all of this if Snyder's gone? I mean, if WB really wants to stay on that date, they must have some director in mind to take over for JL if things go not according to plan on BvS.

Starting to feel like JL might get delayed after all, thus bumping up Affleck's solo Batman film....which is what many wanted in the first place.
Rumours say if they did batman they would be doing under the red hood

No, my friends are not contrarians or immature enough to bash something just because it doesn't have enough juvenile humour, they're more rational. ;)

I mean, my thing is, what about this movie looks SO bad that someone would think it looks like a disaster? How have these trailers been any different from the Avengers trailers? (which btw have a very dark tone to them too and do not display the humor within the films)

Uh... You sound unbalanced sir/madam. That's such a minor thing it's not even worth it.

I don't view it as a minor thing when it's said explicitly at the start of every movie not to use your phone. It's rude and unfair to people who want to be immersed in the experience.

I wouldn't for the simple fact that Affleck hasn't directed anything on that scale before. I think Affleck's a good, good director but on that scale, nope. Not even at least.

Im guessing you speak before you think ....Mr Christopher Nolan proves you wrong

All this hearsay does for me is give me unnecessary, general anxiety.
It's adding nothing good to my life.and likely no one else's.

Yeah I think the scale of Justice League would be a lot for Ben Affleck to take on. Wasn't he offered the chance to direct Man of Steel and he said no for that exact reason?

How is this surprising? Of course Warners will boot Snyder if it fails. Why wouldn't they?

This is no reason to panic. Its a precaution/back up plan.

Nothing McWeeny said is a reason to panic. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to expect of Warners.

The reaction to trailer 3 was incredibly negative, so they were a bit worried. And as any smart studio would, they have a plan for if the film fails (it probably won't). That plan being to fire Snyder and put someone else on JLA.

No one is saying this is going to happen. Just that its Warner's plan if the worst comes to pass. Which is simply that people don't like the film, and it doesn't perform well.

But from all indications (including McWeeny himself, who mentioned Affleck and Eisenberg being good and great, respectively), the film is great.

That backup plan won't have to be executed. Just calm down.

We've had a good couple of pages of not talking about that stupid Hitfix rumor and now it's coming back....

BATMAN BEGINS didn't have nearly the amount of vfx work that a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie would have.

Try again.

That's supposed to win you're argument...haha! Snyder is an average director, Ben Affleck is in the top 5 directors working today

BvS will not fail. And Snyder will start filming in 3 months for JL. Hello!

Will things change based on BvS reaction?

Sure.

MOS2 (BvS) started out as a Superman film featuring Batman and is now a Batman film featuring Superman.

Snyder is set for JL1. Beyond that is anyone's guess.

Guess that's why Affleck praised Snyder and said he was learning on set about how these big SFX and action heavy tent pole films are made from him.

I feel uncomfortable talking about replacement directors before we even get reviews. I'd feel more comfortable waiting for reviews.

Well bvs needs to make 1.2/1.3 billion to break even.

It's getting really annoying. People are blowing what he said waaaaay out of proportion. And ignoring the very positive things he did say.

It makes us fans look insecure and not at all confident in this film.

Can't there be a separate topic for the wrist slitters to talk all they want about the McWeeny rumors? Because it keeps making this thread unbearable.

Yeah. I said that IFFFF Zack was getting the boot, I would expect Ben to pick up the slack since he is already so invested in the universe (being Batman, co-writing Batman solo, being in Suicide Squad, a good director, etc). Then I would expect David Ayer to direct the Batman solo with Affleck and Johns writing if Suicide Squad turns out to be good.

But it isn't outside the realm of possibility for them to just hire another director. Kind of like Star Wars and Marvel- they have a blueprint of what's going to run through they're films. It's a collective effort from the braintrust they have established. Even if Zack is gone from the director's chair, it would be stupid for them to completely kick him out of the creative process.

If Zack is gone, it would be cool to have one of these folks to take a crack at JL:

-Ben Affleck

- Brad Bird (he's not just a Disney guy. The Iron Giant is WB and already directed a fantastic superhero movie, The Incredibles, and a franchise movie, MI:GP)

- Doug Liman (director of Edge of Tomorrow for WB)

- Ron Howard

- Peter Jackson (No, seriously)

There's is no way in satan's red boots is BvS going to fail financially even if god forbid it's Transformers bad, it has way too many variables supporting its success.

Brad Bird is who I wanted to take on MOS 2 if/when it happens. I know that's a popular choice, but it's popular for a reason.
