This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]510109[/split]
I just had a thought, what if the special preview screening for fans is the Rated-R cut? WB wouldn't be bound by MPAA limitations because it's technically not a conventionally released film. But someone who knows the rules better should chime in.
I dont think this has anything to do with Deadpool, it's not even a reaction to it.
It clearly says 9/30/2015 which is either the date when the edited version was submitted or when they reviewed it.![]()
There's a special preview screening? When?
Fans that went to the IMAX event a couple months back got passes to an early screening of the film. A week in advance, I believe. There's a special preview screening? When?
Nerfing a character's canon power levels to make others more valuable is the sign of a bad writer and needs to be avoided in the DCF.
I've seen plenty of blood in other PG-13 films. Pretty sure that was Nolan's doing.I'm guessing the R-Rated cut will simply have blood, whereas PG-13 films (a la TDK) are virtually bloodless.

Is anyone here going to the early screening? I'm going to be rabid for spoilers right about that time.
I'm trying to hold out until mid-March. Then off to the JL/WW/SS boards I go.
And so help me God, if any of you post spoilers in those sections.
It's only the Director's Cut.
There isn't a snowball's chance in hell they put out an R-rated Batman and Superman film in theaters. Not for the initial release, anyway.
You make it sound like an R rated cut in a movie about Superman isn't ****ing ridiculous in and of itself. Theatrical cut or not. When I think of Superman I don't even entertain the notion of an R rating with him. Gee, how uplifting. To even cut something down in the first place from what it originally was, what does that say about the PG-13 cut then? Jesus Christ.
Now having just seen that date it was installed, I guess I'm wrong about the Deadpool thing. Still doesn't excuse WB for feeding more into the super dark tone of things for a goddamn Superman film. I think the tone of this film is the most like that first trailer now.

Now we just need the run time for the Ultimate edition
