I'd imagine more so the third act then the neck snapping, though that too I've heard may play a role.

Aye, a majority of criticism that i've seen critics say about MoS is that it's an 'action fest destruction porn' as they call it, i heard that they find the rest of the film quite pleasant.

To be fair that's what a lot of critics say about all CBMs, consensus usually is first two thirds good, then goes into a big cgi action sequence for the final act. Which I've always kind of gone, well yeah it's a superhero film.

And the unfortunate thing is that MoS took the major brunt of it, God knows what critics are going to do to BvS during the Doomsday fight.

Indeed, that's what I'd always figured. It's not uncommon for combat gear to have several layers, with one "primary" on the surface.

Can't believe people thought the canon Robin would be fighting alongside Bruce in those boy-shorts.
