Watchmen's amazingly directed. I've been teaching myself what cinematic direction was for over ten years, and film school has done nothing but validate what I've learned.

The question is, not "what does the film say?, it's "what does the camera say"?

^ For Nite Owl, everything.

But don't take my word for it.

Consider the words of the late, great Ebert who gave it a 4/4, Waid (who said it was as best as it could be) and yes, a true film fan, McWeeney (who absolutely loved it)

Add in the fact that Watchmen has a high IMDB score 7.6, a high metacritic user score 8.2, and tends to be listed consistently on the list of underrated comic movies.

Add in the fact that it's a high DVD seller for an R rated movie.

Or actually think for yourself and WATCH it. Don't demand Moore's original vision (that's what the book is for) but see if Snyder made a great story in its own right.

Honestly, I think I'd be a better director by watching Watchmen a dozen times, than by watching a lot of static, dialog-driven movies made nowadays.

How do we know he's not a member?

Well, he didn't get a single mention in the "Dawn of the Justice League" special. He wasn't mentioned in the EW article as one of the members BvS is setting up. But, his film was included in the slate listed by EW. Hence, he's part of this universe, but not part of the league.

Shazam is new line
I think the Rock wants to make the movie attached to the DCEU but not sure if that's happening

Why cast The Rock and not include him with the other heavy hitters?

SHAZAM is a part of DCEU

He probably won't be in JL Pt1, and his solo will be his origin and could be in JL Pt2

The Dawn of the Justice League special was really talking about JL Pt1.

Mentions of GL were just to tell people that GL will be coming, but not in JL Pt1

It's being made by New Line, but it's a part of the DC EU slate. It's been consistently included, as of yesterday. That may change in the future (I hope it doesn't), but as of now, Shazam is tied to the DC EU. Remember, EW has seen the outline of the DC EU. That means that Shazam fits somewhere in there.

I like Bats almost as much as Supes, but putting him front and center? **** that. Supes is the Leader; Bats is the Lancer.

That's like saying "**** Luke Skywalker, let's make the story revolve around Han Solo."

I'm not feeling this story/scoop at all.

No, he is not.

There is no leader in the League - None of them are superior to the other, none of them are better than the other. Of course, some are more powerful than others, but that doesn't automatically translate to leadership.

At times, individual Leaguers take up the role of a leader, depending on the situation and the foes involved.

Now what the League does have - a Chairman/woman. Technically that person could be the leader.

Well, EW accounted Shazam as part of the DCEU slate as well, even though they did not mention anything regarding the movie.

Superman is the face of the JL though

Except who's the Chairman/woman in the JL?

JL Pt1,The Flash and possibly Aquaman are the priority this year
Aquaman, SHAZAM,JL Pt2 will be next year's priority

I feel they mentioned GL because he is usually a part of JL and they wanted to address that is not appearing in JL Pt1. Not mentioning SHAZAM is not surprising since he is not appearing in BvS.

Shazam is in the same universe. I don't get why everyone thinks it's not. New line is WB

I know some won't agree but I just don't want Shazam in these movies. At least not yet. I want to know these characters first. (Bats,Supes,WW,Flash,Cyborg,Aquaman and GL)

We know GL won't be appearing in JL Pt1 and SHAZAM is before JLPt2, so......

Yeah..I'd prefer a GL because Shazam.

I know why would like to see GL too, and I'm hopeful that they learned their lesson from the last GL movie, and give that mythos the respect it deserves.

Batman isn't just the "lancer", he's the ****ing general. He's the resident strategist.

This is why Batman fans are always skeptical of Batman as a member of the JLA. He typically prefers to work alone, and what partnerships he does have, he enters them grudgingly.

It's hard to imagine Batman ever fighting with the JLA unless he absolutely has to.

Another thing is that Batman being the leader was always interesting because its his leadership qualities that make him vital in battles with villains he can't physically battle himself. It's the same with Captain America. Caps isn't really of much use against a foe like Ultron, so it's his leadership qualities that make him something besides a guy who just stands around.

Batman has always been the rebel. Superman is the natural leader. He's the moral compass of the league. Just like Cap is with the Avengers. Batman and Iron Man finance everything. That's why Superman is front and center in the League. Look at the concept art. Who's in the center? Supes. You need a face and a man with ideals to lead.

Thank you. If we're talking Greek Pantheon Supes is Zeus and Batman is Hades.
