I've been in the mood for Starwars lately so, I thought I'd make a thread.

Not to start arguments if you like the prequels or not. Just to talk about all things StarWars.

I'm watching Empire, and no matter how many times I watch it, every time Leia kisses Luke, I cringe.

Couldn't the Force have been a bit stronger in him to let him know that she's his sister. Sure she kissed him, but yuck!

It's funny, I could just hear Han making fun of him after he found out about them being related. :oldrazz: :woot:

Obi could've at least warned him, even if he wanted Luke to find everything out for himself, what if they had gone a little too far...YIKES!

Okay enough of that. I love these new dvds that you could watch either the old or Special editions.

I must say I like the original meeting of Darth and Palpatine in Empire better, the dialogue even though slightly changed in the SE just seems better in the original, and The Emporer looked creepy, just the way his eye was slightly off center. But I do like that Lucas tweeked a few things to make the prequels and originals match up a bit more.

If I were to nit pick about anything it would be the way the Force was explained in Episode one, but all in all I don't mind any of them.

Does anyone know if they are still going to make that tv series? Or will there be any more movies?

I haven't heard anything in a while. May the Force be with you...always. :word:

We're not going to see any more movies anytime soon, but the live action and CG TV series are still very much alive. I'm guessing 2008 at the earliest though.

Funny thing is Leia said she kinda always knew Luke was her brother.
Well, if Angelina Jolie can get away with it....

I know what you mean about Luke & Leia, Morgoth. You can't help but make a face and feel weird about it. I'm not even worried about the TV series. To be honest, I'm not getting my hopes up, but who knows it could be amazing.

I'm still stuck in the books. For about the last 4 years I've been reading Star Wars books nonstop. I own ALL of them :p It's just nice to expand the Star Wars universe a little, you know?

I'd kill a small child to be able to play TIE Fighter on my computer again :ghost:

They should make some animated movies of the books.

Sure why not i like talking about Star Wars maybe next you could do a Batman movies or Lord Of The Rings. Anyway here are a few pros and cons about all things Star Wars.

Best Parts.

1 When Vader Kills the Emperor one of the greatest iconic Star Wars moments. You if you watched all 6 parts in a row could see the good side returning to power. But even before you knew of 1,2 and 3.

If it was almost the biggest power bomb in movie history. Power bomb being a wwe wrestler term not that it stunk.

2 Obi Wan and Vaders confrontation on death star one was a great moment.
Even though you never knew the story you could feel there tension and that duo to a great Alec Guinness performance.

3 The Darth Maul, Qui Gon, Obi wan saber fight was the best sword fight in the new trilogy. I know many like Obi and Anakins sword fight but Ray Parker and Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson really wnet all out. I don't think hayden was as good as he thaught he was.

4 Mace Windu's death was truely one of the best scene' done in Revenge Of The Sith. It takes you back to Return Of The Jedi and The Emperor Frying Luke. But Anakin in episode 3 was a back stabbing little bastard. Sorry i so like Vader better then Anakin. Vader was this force but Anakin seemed wimpy.
Sorry the should be in the con bracket but the thing is i have dislikes too.

My two Fvaorite Yoda momments are when Yoda flying the X-wing craft using the force. The other was when Yoda takes out Palpatines gaurds and the iconic Yoda/Emperor Palpatine office sho down. Love the line "If So Powerful you are then why leave."

I have mnay more likes but i have to get to a couple negative things that i have areal problem with.

Things is Disliked in Star Wars.

1 I so wished the Emperor and Obi Wan could have had some sort of face off. the two masters of Anakin never meeting. I'm not saying Obi would have won buta war of words would have been so sweet. Even Lucas has said if Obi Wan would have faced the emperor on that very day the Dark Side Would have lost. Because Lucas said on that day and on most occasions the force is usually with Obi Wan kinda like Luke.

2 Here is my next dislike. He made Obi Wan seem so wimpy against Dooku and that really bites in my book. If Obi Wan could school Anakin on Mustafar why could he not kille Dooku. Unless Dooku either underestimated Anakin or maybe Dooku was to let Anakin win but Palpatine back stabbs the defensless
Dooku.

3 I also disliked in the new trilogy how one Yoda was shown so weak against Palpatine and it kinda was a bummer that Lucas didn't have a longer mor even battle. Also 1979 Vader was cool but Anakin was a wining wimp if you ask me.

Everything about the-- oops almost hijacked the topic.
I'm biting my tongue on that note.

Yoda was weak in EP3? Hm , somewhat weak yes.

He was caught ofguard by the Force Lightning ... as you can see when the camera zooms in on his face you see this "Effort this costs me not" face Yoda is making. He could've easily won from Palpatine but he got thrown off the Pod ... unfortunatly.

My favorite moment?

The Stormtrooper bumping his head against the door where R2D2 and 3PO are in :P And lets not forget...

"I ... am your father"

Dude, I have no case.

I just watched Episode 3 today for the hundrenth time and Sidious owns Revenge of the Sith. He practically owned this movie.

And Yoda did not get caught off guard by the first lightning.

First off, Yoda could sense immediate future.

And second, if someone says, "Now you will experience the full power of the Dark Side." and rasises his hands, seer or not, Yoda knows that lightning is coming.

Yoda just underestimated Sidious' lightning thinking he could easily deflect it like he did with Dooku's baby lightning.

BOY WAS HE WRONG!!! SLAM to the wall. If this was boxing or the UFC, the fight would have been stopped coz Yoda was pretty much KOed for almost a minute there.

I'm not saying Sidious owned him either, actually they were both evenly match. Only Yoda gave Sidious a run for his money in the whole Star Wars sagas.

But ROTS is Palpatin'es movie.

He proved why he is the only Sith Master in the movies.

From killing 3 Jedi Masters in seconds to instantly killing the famous Mace Windu after using him to finally turn Anakin and to frame the whole Jedi Order, Sidious without doubt is the most powerful Sith of all.

Even the most powerful Jedi, Yoda could not defeat him.

LMAO, oh yeah, I had almost forgot. I didn't notice it the first time I watched New Hope, but when I found out, I replayed that scene over and over again. I couldn't stop laughing. :p

I think we should rename Luke and Leia "The Aristocrats."

All things considered, as evidenced by the movies the OT galaxy seemed to have 1 woman for every 50 men, so maybe the big revelation in ROTJ wouldn't have stopped Luke from pulling some hillbilly action. Which explains why Lucas will not make 3 sequels.

Mace Windu>Sidious.

Anakin i think was overrated igo hound if you ask me. I think Lue and Obi Wan even Windu were better jedi. If he was so good lets see how long he'dn last against Yoda.

My problem is that Lucas made Obi Wan and Yoda a bit wimpy at times in the new trilogy. I say since the force except for Dooku was mostly with Obi Wan that maybe Yoda and Obi should ahve switched and on that day The force was with Obi Wan could have somehow defeated Sidious. Even though Sid was 20 times more powerful.

What it all boils down to - the original versions of the original trilogy rock, the prequels suck and the special editions suck. That is all.

See, I was going to say this earlier, but I didn't want to turn it into another one of "those" threads.
