Almost Human

The "Bishop" gave Rudi the counter agent, for the GPS liquid. And the only way he could have gotten his hands on it, is if someone in the Police Department gave it to him, since it was still in the Beta testing phase. And the release form for the fake Bishop, was signed by the Narc Captain.
Ahhh.... okay. Thanks :)

This past episode was good but it was a tad weak, Fox airing these episodes out of order is making for an uneven delivery of content.

Why the hell does fox do episodes out if order!?! They are the only network I know of who does this tomfoolery.

Good question.
Our public channels do that when some TV show episodes are judged too much violent or disturbing to be aired at 8:30 PM ( note : usually two episodes are aired, one at 8:30 then other at 9:30 PM ).
That is how Fringe was butchered by TF1 channel.

Firefly was shown out of order cause Fox felt the first episode was too slow and wouldnt engage viewers.

Which is why the Train Heist was shown first then the Pilot with the introduction to the world was shown second.

Fox thinks viewers are dim and need shiny objects to enjoy a show

Snap, that prison scene was harsh.

Really enjoyed this week's episode. I think they're doing a good job of highlighting the main cast at the outset of the series and they're developing a potential Kennex/Stahl pairing quite nicely. Urban & Minka Kelly have good chemistry, so I don't mind that at all.

"Oh my go... Is that all for one person? Dude, put it away." :lmao:

Does anyone else want Kennex and Dorian as roommates? :woot:

I think it'll end up that way considering Dorian was complaining about living with all the other police androids.

And he is Police Property. So I don't think they would actually bother to rent him place and pay extra, just so the android with emotions can have his own place. So they give them a choice, crash with Kennex, or continue to stay with the rest of the Police bots.

Don't remember...have they shown a female copbot yet?

Holy crap, he just flipped that van like it was nothing.

That's... interesting. Seems like that would mess up a lot of shows.

I like how they still use USB's in the future.

Though I get that they have a budget, so they can't have too many futuristic gadgets. It's just funny.

It's not that far in the future if they still got cars and vans.

It's 2048. If we're still using USB's thirty something years from now, come look me up, I'll give you a hundred bucks - which will probably be worth about five bucks by that time.

I think inventions aside from maybe the internet haven't really progressed a massive amount. We should be in hovercrafts by now.

Well, there is Moore's Law. There are also a lot of emerging technologies. Still, I think the fully sentient androids are pushing it. That's one hell of a feat. But, hey, it's fiction so I'll suspend disbelief.

By 2048, we'll probably have some really cool stuff, like life-like advanced prosthetics, self-driving cars, powered armor, human cloning, the first generations of genetically engineered babies, etc.

We might have some AI that approach sentience, and we might have believable looking androids, but human-sized robots with minds of their own - that's a long ways off.

I'm kind of waiting for them to discuss how the androids' minds function. Quantum computing, and all that.

I follow a lot of futuristic / robotics blogs.

Really enjoying the show so far. Any idea how it's doing?

Personally I think they should've set this show in the 2030's instead of 2048 like GITS which is generally 2032-ish.

Really? I think 20 years later.

Course, Ghost in the Shell was written 1989, and the timeline reflects that. Like World War IV happening 2 years from now.

At first I didn't understand that Dorian flipped that van because it happened so suddenly and it looked like he was far away from the van. But then Kennex's reaction sold it.

The dialog between Dorian and Kennex is great. I really love the way the show is developing. It was pretty cool to see the android locker room with the naked android.

I also believe Dorian and Kennex will be roomies.

I didn't get that, if they knew to give him the counter agent, based on insider info, wouldn't that mean they already knew he was under cover... so, why would they bring him to the real lab

Honestly, I thought that was weird too. Maybe it was just a precautionary thing that they give every new cook. And once Rudi opened his mouth and went a little science crazy, they probably thought he was the real deal. Until they realized he wasn't.
