i'm a bit biased against marky but it does look like a decent action movie. it does not however look better than warzone.

The Max Payne trailers look amazing. I'm still a bit concerned though over the director. Hopefully this will be the first movie he deliver that stands out cause everything else he's done has just been commercial stuff that's quickly forgotten about.

I'm also a bit confused over what the heck those angels are. Hallucinations I hope.

I agree that Max Payne does not look better than War Zone. I'm confused about the valkyries as well, I don't really remember them from the game. It's been a long time though... I'm having high hopes, I just hope to not be disappointed from it. I haven't seen many good video game adaptations.

I remember watching some of Silent Hill on TV. It wasn't anything special, but the cinematography was visually amazing. Some of the stuff they did there was beautiful, but the story itself was pretty average at best.

I won't be seeing Max Payne, since I never played the video game and don't have any connection to the character, so I won't be able to really compare it to PWZ. However, I'd enjoy PWZ more anyways, just because it's the Punisher.

silent hill was actually pretty good. some of the acting was just so-so but the cinematography and special effects were awesome. the story was okay but the ending is great. it's definitely worth viewing it in its entirety.

Its weird actually. The movie got an R rating when originally the director wanted PG-13 and now he's pissed off over it. I guess he thinks that The Dark Knight got off lightly and was hoping his movie would be along the same lines. I don't think he's going to sacrifice anything in order to get the PG-13 rating, but I do think he'll appeal to the board again and again.

Max Payne looks great, but those angel/demons things were never in the game. I remember the line "The flesh of fallen angels". IMO you don't really need to change much about the game to make it into a movie. Even the score was beautiful. It's weird when video games are more realistic than movies.

Those are Valkyrie's, the movie apparently has a lot Norse mythology going on it. But I think Valkyrie's are just hallucinations or some ****.

looks better than Hitman. The song in the trailer is god awful, Marilyn Manson is a talentless waist of existence in my opinion. He makes the Sex Pistols look like ****ing Mozart, but I digress. The film itself outside of a few questionable casting choices looks spot on with the video game. My only complaint (or nitpick) about Max Payne is if the film adaptation is really all that necessary given that the game was practically an interactive movie to begin with, but it does look better than War Zone.

Back to the topic at hand, yes I believe this movie is gonna be garbage. I'm weary of any director who thinks Dash Mihok is "one of Hollywood's finest". Why not wear a sign that says AMATEUR.

I think they totally got the wrong dierctor for warzone.....I love frank And I know damn well we all just want to see hollywood get him right.....I mean its really not that ****ing hard,well I'm just ranting at this point.
and as for max payne I think the vallkeries are an effect of that drug,can't remember the name of it,but i remember max tripping out several times in the game.

Mihok is a good actor, and the director being a woman has nothing to do with not liking her as the choice. It's that, well to me that she isn't that particularly good a director.
