The Avengers Amanda Righetti is Sharon Carter

Yeah, I see no resemblance whatsoever. Although It'd be a nice touch, I have plenty of cousins who look nothing like their aunts. But I'm glad when they cast Righetti, they didn't focus on whether she looked like Atwell.

Yeah. I love Amanda Righetti and it is nice to see her in this movie. Im expecting her to just have a cameo in this movie and then see her as Cap's love interest ing the sequel.

I've seen quite a bit of her work (The Mentalist and The OC), and I've gotta say I'm a little disappointed with this casting, as I never really liked her performance in either show. I have a hard time imagining she can live up to Atwell. I'd love to be proven wrong, though, so I'm definitely gonna try to reserve judgment as much as possible.

I don't think Righetti is quite on the same level as Hayley Atwell. Hayley was wonderful to watch on screen. I would rather see her come back again as Sharon Carter than watch Amanda in the role.

I hope Righetti can atleast hold a candle to what Atwell did. Atwell is easily the best love interest in a comic book movie.

I think I'm willing to give Amanda a chance if she is playing Sharon Carter. I mean, I would think that whoever was in charge of the casting was aware that if Amanda were to be Sharon Carter, that it would require her to be a long time player as well since she's a major character in CA's universe.

Peggy Carter's niece would be in her 60s, or 50s at youngest.

Sharon will be a relative, of course, but sure as hell won't be Peggy's niece as the comics had it.

And I hope Righetti gets the blond hair. SHIELD doesn't need another redhead.

She used to have blonde hair (back in the OC days). I think it suited her better than the dark hair, tbh.

I'm hoping that there's a little and natural room for Steve and Sharon (assuming if she is in this film) to bond, not as romantic interests of course, but just as good friends, so that by the time that Captain America 2 comes out, they can make more room for the romantic development, and allow Steve's character to have his hallmark moment of finally sharing a dance with someone, which i believe WILL be Sharon.

I think it's not that her role is a "secret", just she wont have a big enough role in the film too have an announcement made for her. Rumor has it it could just be a cameo. But we know she is in it, the ending of TFA pretty much cements her involvement.
