I will openly admit that this comic got me to cry.

It's a rarity. I love them and all, but they're comics. The only other one that got me to was the 9/11 issue.

I suppose part of it is that my brother spent some time in Iraq. And part of it is guys I’ve met here who have done the same ( roach comes to mind) Partly, it’s just returning Flash to more than just a punchline.

I’m not going to review it, or pm people spoilers. Not to be mean, I just want you to enjoy it like I did. (I hope those of you who get hands on early copies would do the same.) I just wanted to give you guys a heads up for a very touching story.

Only 3 comics have ever got me to cry:
Death of Harry
Death of Aunt May
9/11 Issue

I look forward to this. :)

I've always loved when Flash was more "grown-up", than just a jerk, so I really look forward to seeing if he rejoins the cast.

By the way, there's a great little scene about how Flash got his nickname.

Looking at this preview, I think it's pretty clear that [blackout]Flash has had his legs amputated in order to save his life.[/blackout] Not sure how readers will react to this if that is indeed the case.

So the Flash from Peter David's Friendly went to war when?

To give credit where credit is due, this is by far the best issue of BND and it came from gugg of all people the same guy that equates Spider-Man readers with gay bashers. Where the hell did this come from?

I really hope they don't change flash back, it would be an insult to everyone that lost something during the war.

I agree. And I hope they don't "Reed Richards" some kind of solution. Lots of ways they could go with this.

I was thinking curt conners, but yeah if this is just for shock value and to be undone later, it's pretty ****ed up.

Reed Richards IS a verb!!!

i have no idea what that means.....

Aweosme! I can't wait to pick this up. Since I bought TIH on 3-disc DVD yeterday and now today, I bought Spider-Man: WoS game, I don't have enough money to buy this issue today, so I'll be picking it up tommorow or Friday along with my other comics such as Secret invasion, Thunderbolts, etc.

The stagnate taste of Joephisto's undoing is still in my mouth...but I'll give this a shot.

This issue makes no sense. this story is good, and I mean no disrespect to anyone serving in Iraq with my negativity towards this issue.

the thing is they took Flash's legs, for what to tell a soldiers story. not Only did I get 2 spider-man comics today that lacked spider-man I am really pissed at the way these writers have been using the cast. Betty Brant is a completely different person now, than even in the beginning of BND, Peter has no responsibility, Harry's alive. I'm just pissed.
all I can say is I enjoy reading she-hulk more than the last like 30ish issues since BND.

I'm so angry right now about Flash. I don't know why I'm still buying spider-man comics.

THEY DID WHAT TO FLASH??? After all those years Flash spent in a coma and the fans were upset about it, and now they choose to remove his legs instead? Jesus, just as i was beginning to enjoy BND, Guggenheim f***s it up.

I know new ways to die wasn't that bad compared to the rest and look what they did

Aloha,
Come to think of it, Flash has really paid his dues for being such a jerk to Peter in his youth. Flash has been in a coma, beat up and now
an amputee
( I didn't get my copy yet). Let all Bully's take note. You reap what you sow:word:
Spidey rules

Ok, I know you didn't mean this like that, but that's just ******ed and insulting. He lost his legs saving a man's life and following spider-man's example, if he was selfish flash he wouldn't have even been there.
