Thanks for sharing these videos, folks!
I probably would've never known about them without this thread. So thanks a lot!
The game looks really good in my opinion. Too bad those guys can't handle the controls yet. But hey, isn't that always the case with a new game?
I remember watching a dude playing SM2 (way back) and he was just tapping the websling button like the sprint button in gta, bumping into every building in the process.
He made the game look like crap just by playing like a fool, but had fun though and in the end that's what gaming is all about.
Just wait for the devs to show of that game. Then you'll really see it's full potential. And if it's still not your game... Hey, just don't buy it.
I avoided Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time because I knew that they wouldn't be worth MY money. Nobody's forcing you. Just don't buy it.
I gotta say though, apart from the missing anchor point system that SM introduced, this game seems like a must buy for me.
This game meets almost all my requests for a SM game. It has:
- A freeroamable Manhattan.
- A fighting system similar to that scene from SM1 where a bunch of thugs rob a money transport car.
- A Spider-Man model that doesn't looks like a human.
- Interaction with the pedestrians.
- A camera that doesn't place you far behind SM like a spectator in a helicopter but instead places you right behind him as if you're actually with him. The webrush even let's you inside his mask.
- Peter's apartment + interaction with it.
- The graphics... man... the graphics.
- The open street battles, mixed with open air battles, mixed with interior battles.
- Diverse vehicles! Not a big issue, but still!
I could go on and on folk's, but you get my drift: I'm getting this game!
One simple thing like "the webs don't always attach to building" is too small, too light to outweigh all the positive things that this game has to offer.
And again: If you don't like it, just don't buy it. Not sure? Just try it (or watch a walkthrough)
Well that's all I have to say on the matter.
