Are they going to make vigilante suit downloadable? Cause I thought it was only with the hardees code. Hardee's would give you a code somehow.

That's how I got the vigilante suit. Got a code from Carl's Jr.

Used two different emails and got in my second try.

There was a 1 in 5 chance of getting it, so it was easy to get.

Found something really weird on the Wikipedia article for the PS3 game.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Spider-Man_(2012_video_game)#Reception

Upon release, the game received a score of 76 out of 100 on Metacritic, signifying "generally favorable reviews".[21] GameSpot gave it a 7.5, praising its controls while criticizing its easiness. [22] GameInformer had a more critical view of the game, scoring it 6.75 out of 10, citing failure to live up to potential[23]. G4 gave the game a score of 4 out of 5. IGN gave the game a 7.0 with Greg Miller of IGN saying "The visuals aren't stunning, the story isn't crazy exciting, and the missions get repetitive. But The Amazing Spider-Man is fun to play."[24]. The game was also criticized for revealing spoilers from the film.

What the hell?

Good, it should have been. It spoiled the entire end of the film in the first few cutscenes. Beenox completely lied about it not spoiling anything.

Why would you buy a video game based on a movie you didn't want spoiled for? That's totally silly.

It wouldn't be as bad if...

1) They had released the game on the same day as the film, rather than a week before.

2) If Beenox hadn't COMPLETELY lied about there being absolutely no spoilers in the game, when they spoiled the entire end of the film in the first few minutes.

Coming out a week before the game makes zero difference, considering it's still a video game clearly BASED ON the movie (the developers would've had inside information), but I'll say you have a point with #2. then again, that's like complaining that you were burned because you put your hand in a roaring fire with a sign under it that said Magic Ice Cold Fire. anywho, I just found it weird.

You are missing the point. When the Devs keep saying it won't spoil the movie and we have nothing to worry about, we take their word because they have come out time and time again to say it.

So is the game an alternate universe sequel to the first film?
i guess

guys , has someone played Sleeping Dogs?, i want to buy it but i have 2000 pesos which is like 120 dollars and i plan to save for AC3 i preordered so i have to pay 700 pesos now and i want to buy Halo 4 (900 pesos)but I Also want to buy Avengers ,TDKR and Spidey blurays (320-400 each)
Should i wait for Halo or Blurays or buying Sleeping Dogs?

they didn't lie.

its just some ppl from Beenox didn't know what they were talking about.

Dee himself said there may be some spoilers but not TOO many so if ur worried wait till after u see the movie...

but honestly how can any of us complain?

we ALL friggin knew Captain Stacy was going to die.

it was so obvious

Definitely

But the movie sequel story could contradict with the planned story for the game sequel, so I hope they don't try to attach sequels to this game with film sequels

i don;t know about anybody else, but i'd like to see this game be considered canon with the films and not just a "What if this happened next?"

Movie goers have their priority mate, I want to see this game cannon if the movie goers who do not game were not very important
Even gamers and Spidey fans who don't look much of Spidey games, not even the new one, but enjoyed Webb's film

The only issue that I would have with that, is that Beenox would then be confined to the story of the movie and wouldn't be allowed to create something unique. I loved ASM the movie but I also love how ASM the game created a new story. Far too often movie games suffer from being hindered by the plot of the movie and it makes it more difficult for the game designer to 'force' new elements into that story. It almost always comes out feeling cramped.

I didn't like that it spoiled the movie either. But I waited until after I saw the movie to play it.

Even so, one of the trailers and some other things spoiled that Connors would survive and be helping through the game.

...Still a lie.

And do you think casual movie goers knew about his fate?

It was a very stupid move on their behalf. They couldn't wait to make their profit, so they released it earlier than they should have.

Agreed. And even as a hardcore fan I wasn't sure if Captain Stacy was actually gonna die, but the game spoiled that for me

i was thankful i waited til after the movie to play the game considering the spoilers
