Aziz,

The combat sucked compared to the Arkham games. I get that you don't like people praising them, or praising aspects of them over aspects of the Spidey games, but that's just the way it is.

I felt more agile playing as Catwoman for a few missions in AC than I have in most Spider-Man games. -_-

As I said, don't argue with Aziz about his precious "underrated" games ;)

This is all so true.

Although SM2:TVG for its time was the best SH game out there.

Um, how am I spoiling it for you, I just told you about the combat system? That's like blaming an instruction manual for spoiling the game :whatever:

Speaking of "spoilers" and instruction manuals:

I hate the lack of an physical instruction manual in the AC case. >_<

Seems to be a trend with games lately. They all have either online manuals or in-game manuals.

I did however like the little merchandise booklet that came with AC. :awesome:

Haha I opened it just to look at the gameplay pics and I see all this propagand like wtf??

There's always some sort of arguement going on in each thread these days, lol.

saying that the combat in the arkham game sis better than any combat system in spidey game sis plain ol' stupid.
the fighting style in the Arkham games WOULD NOT WORK IN A SPIDER-MAN GAME!!!

when BatMan fights he just moves around on the ground in one little area switching from bad guy to bad guy

first off batman games didn't invent this, it's been around for quite a friggin while now and every major Spidey game since Ultimate Spider-Man allowed you to do this.

second: Spidey is waaaaaaaay more agile than BatMan or CatWoman. if you actually play Arkham City then go back and play SM2, USM, SM3, and WOS, maybe even Shatered Dimensions and EoT, and you'll see what I mean, Spidey moves waaaay faster and doesn't just stay on the ground in one small confined space.

he moves EVERYWHERE bouncing from wall to wall, swinging off poles, flipping through the air (with some major height i might add) mixed in with web swinging, usng his super fast reflexes and spider-sense dodging most if not all of the attacks thrown his way

there is no way the combat stle in arkham games can work in spidey games, and Beenox doesn't need to look at WB to see how to do a good spidey game.. all they need to do is look at that's been done with spidey before, combine all the best elements while leaving out the crap, combine it with whatever new awesome stuff they have planned, and it will be more epic than the arkham games.

Of course not the same exact concept, but it could be slightly based on that with Spidey's agility and tactics added to the mix

There's way more to it than just moving around switching from bad guy to bad guy, that's not even the main point of the free flow system... read my earlier post, the long one

He does stay in one place in Shattered Dimensions and EoT combat...

The only good things about the previous combat systems in Spider-man games:
Spider-man 2: webbing moves
Web of Shadows: web strike move which is very repetitive but has very much potential to be one of the bases of the new combat system, when heavily modified to work in many different ways and to be really versatile

I love the "too many goblins" :gg:

That smiley looks like a gremlin

spida-man is probably the most childish and annoying person I've seen in these boards
