We can do that?
Hmm... thanks for the info.![]()
Dunno, I think we should though. Not everyone here is going to go to the games forum.

Agreed even though they didn't mind doing it to... GG, Doc Ock, Venom. Only character they let go was the Sandman... Who can't really be killed lol. Also I have a feeling they might be flashback resolving the lizard... I still can't wait to see what new info they will have out soon.
Good point. Though Doc Ock technically shouldn't have been a sympathic/tragic villain, but he proved to be the best villain in terms of character for the trilogy. Plus GG and Venom you can always argue how dead they may have been, probably more so for GG since in the comics he already had a well established get out clause for that particular instance.
Which also brings me to think that we have missed a great opportunity to have Dafoe back as a ressurected GG. I really liked him in Raimi's films and I would have loved him portray a more established GG rather than one just starting off.
^^ Well, there were hints at a possible return for Doc Ock.
I wonder what would've happened if that did happen? I bet that would've been great.^^ Well, there were hints at a possible return for Doc Ock.

That was never going to happen. There would only have been 6 movies max, and Raimi was never going to bring Green Goblin back. There's just too much material to really consider bringing old villains back.
There were?![]()
I'm sure he would've somehow become a villain again. If not, then they would not have used him again.I don't know. He wasn't a villain at the end of the movie, I don't see it going anywhere other than Spidey and Doc Ock teaming up which would have been terrible.
You know this for a fact? Has it been said by Raimi or Sony execs etc? I mean I doubt Spider-man 4 would have included him since there are probably one or two of the few classic villains that would be more likely included. However it's not out of the question they'd possibly skip one or two of the less popular ones after that to bring back GG since he's very popular from both the comics and the original movies and is Spider-man's nemesis. Though at this point it's a non-issue really since those movies are done with. Still for me it's a nice to wonder how it may have played out.
Outside of a Daily Bugle newspaper referencing him in the movie I'm not aware of anything that really hinted anything. Though I wouldn't have said no to seeing Molina back as Ock again, but there is the problem that he was a sympathetic/tragic villain and made a sacrifice at the end to save everyone. I can't really think of a good way to have him back (as a villain at least) and not trample all over SM2's good work.

I believe the "Doc Ock still at large!" is justified by the fact that he drowned, and they probably never found his body and just assumed he was still on the loose.
The police probably would have dragged the river. I think the headline was from before Ock died.
You guys talking about the PS2/Wii/PSP version? Cause I heard playing as Venom was exclusive to that one alone
Go play Ultimate Spider-Man
Seeing as to how they weren't even willing to make Harry Osborn Green Goblin, I doubt Norman would be brought back. That would be repeating the first movie.
That and the "Doc Ock Still At Large" newspaper was from the last film.
Someone described him once as a cannibal Hulk& play as lame-ass dumb monster Ultimate Venom? Ewwwww...
I'm wondering why we have a TASM game thread here and one in the video game section of the boards.

I honestly can't explain the Harry Osborn being 'New Goblin' instead of Green or even Hob, but it hardly follows that Green Goblin automatically doesn't return because of it. The movies never directly adapted the source material, just told stories that were somewhat reminiscent of the general Spider-man story. Neither of us can safely say if they would have brought him back at this point since it's impossible now.
Though I disagree about the repeating the first movie comment. I mean Norman Osborn/Green Goblin has a long history in the comics and isn't a one note villain. There are a plethora of different ways on how they could progress the character and I doubt most writers are that lazy and unimaginative to rip off the first movie.
Yeah I was in the middle of editing my post. I must have added in 'third movie' whilst you were still quoting my original post. So there was only that one article and that one itself isn't strong evidence when you think about it. So yeah, not much to go on.

Regular Venom is almost like symbiote Spider-Man with teeth, don't see much of a reason to play as a very similar character when I can play with symbiote Spider-Man as I like
