I wonder if it'll just be a menu that opens up when you "press X to enter" his apartment, or if you actually get to walk around in his room - go to the closet to change costumes, computer to view stats, etc.

I hope it's something similar to you swinging in through the window and just walking around. I remember being able to do that in Spider-Man 3 I think in a few places.

^^^I hope that's the case as well. Would be even better if there wasn't a load screen between the transition either so it's seamless.

Do you guys think that you will be able to get in and out of a few important buildings through a window and explore in there? I think you will be able to do that in the Oscorp Tower.

I hope so, I think that'd be cool. If they're taking all of these cues from Arkham City like they say they are, explorable buildings should be included.

Yeah that would be awesome. I think it would be more fun to have to sing over to your apartment rather than hit 'pause' and poof, you're in the apartment.

There definitely will be indoor missions during the story mode. But I think what you're talking about is the ability to explore the indoors of buildings while not in story mode and with that, I most definitely agree. It would add more depth to the city and give you more options. One of the things I am hoping TASM has, is a high replayability factor.

In SM2 we could go inside his apartment, too. It was cool, but there was nothing there to do, besides a new mission popping up.

I don't remember that at all. I DO remember being able to walk into a few shops, though.

I remember going back into his crappy apartment lol.

I think it's pretty much like in the movie, from what I remember.

This game shows a lot of potential to be great, I hope it doesn't go wasted

I think even if it isn't as good as we all think it will be, it'll still be miles better than Spider-Man 2 the game and a very good step towards what we all want in a Spider-Man game.

I'm not thinking how good it will be, don't try to

I like to be positive. It's better than being downright negative and skeptical all the time, which ruins a good conversation in threads like this.

You could be dissappointed slightly, whereas a negative person could be absolutely blown away with the final product

I'd still rather not be negative/skeptical about everything. There's quite a few people like that on this side of the forum (not just in the game thread) and I find them incredibly annoying. Obviously, nothing's going to blow me away completely, regardless of whether or not I'm being positive. But so far, I am quite happy with everything in this game. They seem to have made quite a few good decisions. :D

tl;dr: I'm not going to piss my pants being positive, but I'm not going to rain on somebody else's parade either.

Anyways, back to my original comment:

"I think even if it isn't as good as we all think it will be, it'll still be miles better than Spider-Man 2 the game and a very good step towards what we all want in a Spider-Man game."

I'm just saying that you might be more impressed and more pleased if you look for some of the negatives and stay cautiously optimistic. I'm not saying you need shut down other people who are positive. Anyway, I, for one, think the movement and swinging mechanics will be better than in SM2. Mostly because of the camera angle and web rush. What I have heard about the swinging is good so far.

I have faith in Beenox that they will deliver a top notch Spidey game with TASM and I will remain positive. However, my positive attitude is not blind though. There are still things about this game that I am skeptical about because I have not really seen them fully laid out before me. That being said...from everything I've seen in the trailers to the very positive impressions of those that saw the demo footage, there's every reason to be excited at this point. I mean, look at where we came from...remember when the first trailer was released during the VGAs?? It was an awful trailer with nothing really standing out and it certainly did not impress much. Beenox flipped the tables. I'm not saying this is going to be the greatest superhero game and it would be foolish to do so, however, there's nothing wrong with being excited about what we've gotten so far and hoping for the best.

I'll be honest and say that I haven't really been impressed by a Spidey game since SM2 (WoS was the best attempt to reach the quality of SM2, but failed for many reasons IMO). With each game, my opinion/faith has grown worse and worse. There are just some things that have become staples (for lack of a better word) of the Spidey games that I really don't care for (everything from visual aesthetics to mechanics). I'm aware that Beenox is trying to reinvent the wheel with this game, so with that in mind, I'm trying to stay optimistic (I dig a lot of what we've heard); however, the last decade of Spidey games doesn't help feed any hopes.
