I think the company that bought it and was gonna release it went bankrupt and hence why its not even released here yet. Like I said I'm sure it'll come to dvd just like Trick R Treat eventually did.

Anchor Bay Acquires New Amber Heard Film

Anchor Bay Entertainment has picked up the North American distribution rights for And Soon the Darkness.

The film packs Amber Heard and Odette Yustman (a winning combo if we ever heard one) into this remake of the 1970's film of the same name. Marcos Efron directed and Karl Urban (Star Trek) also stars.

Heard and Yustman play two American girls on a bike trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them disappears, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized.

Robert Fuest (The Abominable Dr. Phibes) directed the original film.

Look for a theatrical release this fall.
