Ambulance - Michael Bay + Jake Gyllenhaal

LOL that poster almost makes it look like it’s a film named IMAX that you can view in Ambulance format.

This looks okay but every time I see it advertised, I can’t help but think that this is what Michael Bay imagines all ambulance rides are like.

:lmao:

Saw the trailer, and it looks... interesting. I think it could benefit from having Tom Hardy's Bane injected there somewhere.

“Citizens of Los Angeles… take control! Take control of your emergency medical vehicles!”

Eiza at the Paris premiere.

At least he didn't go full Josh Trank.

This peak into Michael Bay's directing is fascinating

I saw it last week. There are some great drone shots and it's thankfully not as franticly edited as 6 Underground.

I enjoyed this, but lawd did it feel about 20-30 minutes too long. Yaya and Jake were great though and Iza was good and looked gorgeous throughout despite the fact that I never bought her as a paramedic.

It's typical Michael Bay alright but that's not necessarily a bad thing and I would rather see him make more films like this or 6 Underground anyways, but I can understand why it wouldn't be for everybody.

I feel like Bay could have done without those cheesy music video style flashback scenes. I get what he was trying to do, but to me it was unnecessary.

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a Michael Bay movie in a theater and my god, I just couldn’t get into this. The cringy flashbacks, the obnoxious product placement, and some of the unintentional(?) stereotypes really makes me wonder how this movie could be made in 2022. Meanwhile, studios are afraid to give a quarter of this budget to an up-and-coming director that likely wants to tell more interesting stories.

Is it better than 6 underground? I couldnt get through that movie. It was just TOO much Bay sensory overload for me.

6 Underground might be his worst movie. That or Transformers 2. 6 Underground it was so incomprehensible I couldn't finish it.
