American Horror Story on FX - Part II

That was an intense episode, the sense of momentum in it was astounding, I'm surprised but happy that the identity of Bloody Face was revealed quite early, at least when compared to the reveal of Rubber Man last season, eager to see where things will go from here on out.

Yeah but Zachary Quinto is perfect as him. As good as he is at playing Spock, he is a superb calculating bad guy. :D

I though jigsaw right when Lana was on that ceramic floor chained.

The torture room looks familiar to the one in Fincher's TGWTDT, all that's missing is Enya (darn it with Asylum being set in the 60's) playing in the background.

Jessica lange will be returning for a third season. Was hoping she would.

I could see what was going to happen a mile off. As soon as the Zachary Quinto was all "oh hey kit, record yourself confessing to the murdrers".

Be nice if one character got a happy ending on this show for once lol
a skin of a chest for lamp shades, the top of a skull for a candy bowl.... freaky stuff..... love the show.

The show runners must be a fan of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with the furniture made out of skin and leather face style mask :cwink:

Bloodyface room looked like the one from The Swedish Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

I suspected Quinto only because he was the only major character one without any kind of quirky revealed past. :) He was too clean or too good to be true, lol.

I think at this point it's basically her show anyway. It'll feel weird if she's not a part of it.

Maybe Bloodyface is Quinto and Cromwell; Maybe even Fiennes as well. I mean, maybe the modern day imitators were imitating a number of killers all identifying as Bloodyface like a cult

Last night's episode had a little Texas Chainsaw/Dexter/Saw feel to it.

When Quinto pulled out that recorder to get Kit's confession it just became way obvious that Quinto was Bloody Face. Not that it detracted from the episode or anything, I started getting all tense after he brought Lana back to his place and his cool, helpful psychiatrist demeanor began to fade into crazy, f**ked up serial killer mode. I have to admit, I did clap like a giddy little girl when Lana got dropped through the trap door.

I loved last season, but man, this season is just so balls to the walls crazy, creepy awesome. I'll probably pick up season 1 on DVD if I find it cheap somewhere, but I will certainly be purchasing this season as soon as it hits shelves.

I was only sure of Quinto when he looked back at the guard and said, "Tell the sister that I don't work here anymore and I never did." It was so chilling rather than a "screw you" moment to me.

I think the differences in the seasons are Season One felt creepy and unnerving and this Season is horror. (Not saying one is better, enjoy both seasons!) This season you just feel the horror of everyone and the absolute hopelessness they feel. I can't see anyone getting out of this intact.

That really bothered my OCD tendencies. Why would something in the 60s be shot on videotape? At least make it Super 8 or something.

I think your viewing it wrong. I think it was suppose to be more Super 8 or 16mm with the colors off or fading, not video. I liked it and it added the surreallness of the scenes.

Ive gotta go back and rewatch this season. Will be interesting to see the difference it makes knowing who quinto's character is from the beginning.

I might be wrong, but wasn't that sort of response to something Sister Jude said to him in a past episode? I don't recall what or when exactly, but I'm pretty sure Sister Jude said something to him about how he didn't officially work there after he tried to offer advice/opinion on one of the patients.

I might be alone on this, but am I the only one who finds Sister Jude the least interesting character? I got nothing against Jessica Lange, she's great. But with all the other plots going on I find myself a bit bored with her. I sort of tuned out during her squirrel story last night.

Maybe. :)

Well I finally was able to catch up with this season and I gotta say I actually did not expect Quinto to be Bloody Face. IDK why I mean he was Sylar after all and he plays one bad ass villain, but for some reason I thought Cromwell was going to be Bloody Face.

I think it is just Quinto. Someone is either emulating him or "carrying on his work" a la all the terrible TCM sequels. But right now, I think it is just Quinto because Cromwell is too wrapped up in his mad scientist/Nazi experiment jazz.

Yeah, someone mentioned a few weeks ago that Quinto might be bloody face because he is the only fully likable character on the show (save for perhaps Kit) and I didn't want to believe it. But when he taped the confession and just some of the tics he showed about getting Lana out, including being cold to the "Ann" character all pointed to him. Once they got to his house and he got creepy, I was waiting for the shoe to drop.

It may not be as good as last year, but that episode in regards to Quinto was amazing.

I was just hoping Murphy didn't have it so predictable, but it was done beautifully. And did everyone else read the interview where Murphy hinted that there's a connection between Kit's sexual encounters and alien visits?

He also said that pre-Aylum, it was not the first time Quinto's character and Lana have been in the same place.

I was starting to think that after the aliens took Grace and did something to her stomach while we saw Alma, apparently still alive, was pregnant. There is something about Kit that is causing this.

Here's the link:
When Thredson sits Lana down and is feeding her wine, he says he can’t wait for her to tell his story. Does he want Lana to write about him?
Yes. The next episode there’s a flashback where you see that Lana has actually been in the same room with Thredson before. She didn’t know he was there but he overhears her ambitions about wanting to be a reporter so there’s a connection.
I love Paulson and Zach Quinto together because they’re really good friends in real life and then they have to do these horrifying scenes. I think they’re so good because these are two actors who are so comfortable with each other and are able to go to these places because they feel safe. Lana stuck in that lair is some of the most harrowing stuff we’ve done.

Okay, well, Grace appears to have been experimented on by the aliens. Is she pregnant with an alien baby?
I’m not saying that! I think it’s interesting the aliens come after Kit has sex with women. That’s a really good clue. People should look at that. There’s something about that.

Is Kit really an alien? LOL. :p
