At first the musical scene threw me for a loop, but then I got into how absurdly wacky it was.

I thought it was a strong episode full of surprising twists and turns. The show has really grown in recent episodes this season. I wish it began so strong.

Oh, it began strong. :o

Yea I found the last few episodes got a tad boring (just a tad!) but the beginning started of stellar

Last episode was great. I also just started watching season one and I'm in the middle of episode 4. It just pulls you in.

I also like the theory about next season being about witchcraft. They did say it could take place in the country. I'm thinking they could get all Crucible on us, but with a much darker, twisted take.

Is the Crucible like Salem Witch trial stuff? Becasue doing something in Salem or like Salem would be cool. :)

Crucible is sort of like that. Basically The Crucible is about the crazy ass woman who gets caught practicing witchcraft with other towns women and then drives her entire village crazy convincing the entire town that the devil has possessed her and everyone else and blah blah. There's no actual witchcraft or magic or anything. Good movie though. I would definitely love to see them go to that kinda place next year. Definitely not something I would've expected

Horror Story Season 3: Ryan Murphy Teases 'Romeo & Juliet' Theme, Truly Haunted Location

Though intel on American Horror Story‘s second season didn’t start trickling out until March of last year, already, here in early January, series boss Ryan Murphy is letting slip with some ideas about what he has planned for Season 3.

Whereas the first two Horror stories revolved around a fractured marriage and a malevolent insane asylum, “I sorta feel like for the third version I want to do something that’s a little bit more ‘evil glamour,’” Murphy told EW.com.

Along those lines, Murphy hopes to spin a tale about star-crossed sweethearts a la Season 1′s Violet and Tate (played by Taissa Farmiga and Evan Peters). “One of the things that I missed this season was I really loved having that Romeo & Juliet youth story,” he said. “I want something like that again, and we’re doing something like that in the third season.”

Murphy revealed nothing new about casting (Jessica Lange thus far is on board for a three-peat) nor did he spill on the setting for Season 3′s setting, only to say that versus once again basing the FX hit’s production out of L.A., “We’re contemplating shooting it in a place in the country where true horror has been. We’ve got lots of delicious plans.”

Horror enthusiasts, what’s your first read on “a place in the country where true horror has been”? Should the hotels in and around Salem, Mass. jack up their rates? Is my dream of a “summer camp” theme dashed? (Or is there a real Crystal Lake?!)
The haunted location fits and I could see the Romeo and Juliet thing factoring in, but the "evil glamour" bit makes me wonder. If anything, I'm sure Salem was the opposite of glamorous.

“a place in the country where true horror has been”?

Going way out on a limb:

Northern California. Summer. 1960's. Two teenage sweethearts. Zodiac type serial killer.

IDK though there are all kinds of places in this country where true horror has been. The "glamour" thing throws me off unless it is set in the 1920's or maybe the 50's. Glamour didn't really factor into the Puritan days unless they are speaking of seduction and glamouring like witches are known to do.

Makes me think of something Elizabethan I dunno why.

It would've been cool if Murphy was able to indirectly tie all the seasons together with it cumulating in season1 with the birth of what's his name

Eh. I kinda prefer it the way it is. Otherwise there'd be too much baggage.

Though, I do want the final season (whenever that may be) to tie back into the first season, with the Antichrist fully grown, and Constance as a little old lady realizing the mess she's created. That way they'd be like book-ends for the series.

So I finished the first season.

Well damn, I just want to kill myself now.

The kid who played Tate in that was amazing. He's been a little less so to me in the second season but I think it's because he has a weaker character, not because he can't handle it.

I'm glad to see the villains in this season finally getting held accountable.

Yeah was not expecting that to happen so soon but they pretty much had done all they could do with them. Now to tie up the aliens and Bloody Face Jr.

Yea and then the part where he put on a creepy as **** rubber suit and raped her mom fathering the Antichrist. That part was cool too

lol but seriously. I say no because we've BEEN there.

season 2 was so different from 1, i'd love to keep that going.

Well, they aren't saying it is going to be a rehash. It will just have a two character's in love.

And really on the surface Season 2 may seem different, but season 2 is all about love. So far both seasons of this show have made love of varying natures central themes in the stories. In this season Sister Jude was hot for Monsignor, Dr. Arthur Arden was hot for Sister Mary Eunice, Dr. Thredson is hot for Lana, Tate is hot for Grace and looking for answers about his wife. The whole season has resolved around love of some sort or another, and all the plots have flowed from these different loves and passions.

Could have done without the song and dance number.....
It had better come back in some important way or it was just a waste of time. Such a long sequence for so little payoff.

Here's hoping the last few episodes of the season refind their direction because the last few that have aired have felt like they're meandering a bit. The way Mary Eunice raped the Monsigneur was pretty awesome though. If I ever have an interaction with the devil/a demon, I think that might be the best way to have it go down.

It was a two minute sequence. I really don't see that as heinous waste of time. It was illustrating how ****ed up Jude got.

I for one loved the dance number. It was so out of the blue but I got into it once I absorbed its insanity.

Yea I usually absolutely disdain dance numbers but that one was GLORIOUS
