A big problem with this board, and the Internet in general, is that for some reason personal attacks are seen as arguments.

I will debate things point by point happily, and I might not always be right. But I can't stand personal attacks, and just because a person uses personal attacks does not make that person right. Constantly calling me a fascist and extremist does not make it so. If you look at the things I actually say, nothing is very extreme at all in the things I say.

I've taken a side. Yeah, I admit it. So what? You're taking a safe middle ground. You're one these people that claims both sides are as bad as the other. Your views would be commendable if it were the truth of what's going on.

When the cold hard facts are looked at, it is clear that Israel have commited war crimes against the Palestinians for decades, and illigally occupied their land. In the documentary I posted, you see that in the space of a few years, 500 Israelis were killed in the conflict. 2000 Palestinians were killed in the period of time.

They are not as bad as each other. Suicide bombing is wrong, but when an entire peoples' rights are stomped on constantly, their land stolen, what do you expect them to do?

I'm not choosing a safe middle ground. I am taking the Hiko Seijuro neutral ground. Both sides are nefarious in this futile conflict and choosing one and lending support to one is naive. Both sides are murderers and are committing crimes.

hippie_hunter, you in particular would benifit greatly from watching the documentary.

Many of the favourite arguments of the pro-Israel camp are contradicted in the documentary. "The Palestinians have been given a chance to have their own land and they didn't take it", "all the Palestinians have to do is accept Israel's right to exist and all will be fine", etc etc.

I am trying to get it into kainedaimo's head though that the Palestinians, Hamas, and Hezbollah are nowhere near as innocent as he preaches, that they are terrorists not freedom fighters, and Israel isn't the only evil in the conflict.

and that...quite probably, outside forces are the ones responsible (and no, I don't mean reptilians or the illuminati)

Oh, I'd say your performance in this thread is a fine example of your tendency to espouse rather extremist views and then try to make things personal during a debate rather than just sticking to the facts. It's also a fine example of why it's pointless to debate with you on any topic whatsoever.

Cosmetic surgery has nothing to do with this topic, and I really don't think the views I expressed in that thread were extreme. Really, you're just sore because I mocked you.
