Amy Adams is Lois Lane

If Batman Begins and The Dark Knight can survive with Katie Holmes and Maggie G. then I really like Superman's chances with Amy Adams.

I don't quite understand this post. Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but I think you misunderstood what I said.

I was being sarcastic within the context of my exchange with Parker Wayne, as we were joking about how another poster was indicating that Amy is "sickly sweet," and has no qualities whatsoever that make her a viable Lois.

I'm thrilled with the casting. Easily one of the top female choices in a superhero film IMO.

That's what happens when you go too far with the irony... you will find you have become what you hated :csad:

Intresting tibit Incase people didn't know Amy was on a season 1 episode of Smallville.

I had said that Inless the series finale of Smallville was so disappointing I wouldn't see this since my rule Is to only with franchises watch with my viewing and my money up to 3 Including Animation and with Superman I have 3(1;Superman/Superman 2/Superman Returns,DCAU,3:Smallville)but both Kevin Costner and now Amy 's casting Is forcing me to reconsider my stance.Let's hope Zach Snyder and David Goyer know Superman Is different than Batman and has to be done differently.Although If they really looked at Superman;Secret Origin for the film then they have a good handle.

What can I say, Majik?

In Dawn of the Dead, I thought they were bland and mediocre (especially the lead).
:cmad:
In Sucker Punch, I thought they were all terrible.
:cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:
People give Malin Ackerman too much **** for Watchmen.

She wasn't that bad.
Agreed, I just find her to be the lowest in ranking in terms of Snyder's female casting.

Inspired and brilliant choice. I actually mentioned Amy in the LL thread a while back.

Amy is a top-shelf actress and her signing up for this film just demonstrates the star power that is surrounding the project. Many thought she was one-dimensional after Enchanted and Leap Year (which I saw only because Amy was in it), but films like Julie and Julia and the Fighter have proven hands-down that she's as talented an actress as they come in Hollywood.

She's definitely got the versatility as an actress to pull off tough AND sweet -- presuming the script is a good one, she can deliver on the acting chops.

I 100% agree with others she is incredibly likable (in the Teri Hatcher sort of way) and she's no doubt got the screen presence and charm.

This movie BTW is starting to look absolutely amazing. Snyder goes from Sucker Punch, where he couldn't get the actors he wanted, to Superman, where it looks like he can get AAA stars to sign up left and right.

Diane Lane
Kevin Costner
Amy Adams
and Henry Cavill

Wow ... just wow.

One of the absolute prettiest girls in Hollywood. Beautiful smile, beautiful personality.

Exactly, and I'm surprised that she was described as sweet after The Fighter. She broke one of the girls noses in the movie and made it convincing!

I see now what I would have to post to become a man like him. :csad:

I suggested her a while back. I am so excited. She is one of my favorites.

She reminds me a lot of All Star Lois.

Not in the slightest. All Star Lois looks almost Asian, and definitely more like how modern LL is drawn.

I think Adams resembles the old school/classic silver age Lane, maybe LL in New Frontier:

Ha yes. I know. I was adding to your tongue in cheek relating to those very same comments.

Lois is just as complex a role to pull off as Superman/Clark Kent. Just check out her past performances and you'll see Adams has the range required to make it work.

Frankly, I don't know why anyone wouldn't be behind this. It's that great a casting choice.

It's more like if he made a film about animal abuse after making a few other films in which animals are abused in them.

Some people trey to make their films a commentary on certain subjects, others try to exploit them.

Snyder....does it in super slo-mo. :woot:

Amazing choice. I actually mentioned Amy in the LL thread a while back but others felt she would be a better Lana Lang (which I wasn't going to argue).

Don't be trying to steal what little thunder I have. :cmad:

I can hear....

I can hear the screams and cries of fanboys living and dead...

Cries of anger and disappointment...

They want vengeance. They want blood. They want Olivia Wilde.

oliva wilde has like 3 films slated for filming along with her appearing in a few episodes of House. pretty sure shes booked

Adams has a lot of Lois Lane-like qualities in Leap Year (don't judge me, the wife wanted to see it, so I obliged).

Let 'em cry. Olivia Wilde needs to stay the hell away from this series.

Misogyny.
