:woot: The great writer from JLU and the mini Beyond. As soon as he starts this will be on my Pull list he is a great writer. And his run should be up there with the best of them.

He also wrote Damage Control, and Deathlok, iirc.

I was hoping Dan Slott would get the FF gig, but Dwayne is an equally talented writer who also appreciates classic Marvel, so yes, this is definitely great news!

I'm not familiar with his work, so I can't have an opinion. Has he written any FF characters in other Marvel titles?

It seems like we've had quite a few otherwise-great writers put on thee FF in the last few years and one way or another, they've not been quite up to the task of writing the First Family.

Dan Slott has more than proven he knows these characters and can make them seem alive again. The Bar Mitzvah scene in Thing #8 was -in my opinion- the single finest moment for Ben Grimm's character since before I began reading FF 36 years ago. I was really hoping he'd get put on FF.

But I'll check out some of McDuffie's other work, probably be impressed, and then I'll hope for the best.
