Animals Are Not Ours To Wear

What, prey tell does eating meat have to do with intelligence? I think it's a lack of intelligence that drives people to deny the food chain and the way of nature.

Nature told me to take a piss about 30 minutes ago, and I did.

I'm such a friggin' genius. :o

instinct isn't really intelligence

There is NOTHING instinctual about raising livestock for consumption. That is what sets man apart. Butchering, preparing and cooking, also not instinct. I am a pagan and can't stand the way livestock is treated for mass consumption. Besides being cruel, the meat tastes bad. I also believe when I eat meat I am ingesting that animals suffering, which is why I am sure to buy only free range chicken, and pork or beef raised on small farms, in good conditions, slaughtered humanely. I pray to the father god and mother goddess in thanks for the meat, and thank and bless the animal. I prepare the meat with love, and do my best to give back to the earth when I take from it. There are alternatives to mass production and animals cruelty. I have gone hunting, and when I kill an animal I eat the meat and tan the hide for shoes, belts and clothing. Nothing should be wasted. Practicality makes it impossible for me to hunt my own food often, but I do what I can where I can. What I hate about PETA is the extreme nature of their beliefs and actions.

If there was an award for missing the point you would win by a landslide.

i agree with PETA, if people wont listen...then make them listen. :)

Just like Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini and other totalitarian despots did. PETA....just continuing in a long tradition of hatred for those who have the audacity to think different

Listen to what? Propaganda, lies, and terrorism? Who would listen to such drivel? Who are you to judge the whole of the human race?

i sort of consider you a friend, but you eating my meat is going way to far. :down
I always considered you a brother in arms more than a friend. It's not easy being a true condascending ass-hole and we need to support each other whenever possible.

I've never won an award before. :(

How about an award for never winning an award? But If I give it to you..you would no longer be eligible...damn.

The top of the food chain...

now shuffle back to the bottom, the lions are getting hungry.

Who cares if you eat an animal. I don't care how they get to my plate as long as it tastes good. I don't care how they were treated, it's no of my concern. Out of sight and out of mind.

you need to be mauled by a bear.

You see, early man had that problem...but then we learned to make tools and weapons, effectively pwning the bears. Now they have nowhere to live and it's sad. We used to fear and respect nature...then we learned to live in harmony with it...then we overcame it and we have been traveling downward ever since. Either way, I have things the bear doesn't...a big ****ing gun, and the sense NOT to piss off a bear. I met a couple of bears in Canada and Montana...communicated with them and came to an understanding.
