Organic refers only to the way in which the food is grown, not harvested. Rest assured you are still killing animals when you buy packaged food.

No ones perfect, except me. :)

Venice, in case you haven't noticed Animals Eat Other Animals! Don't you realize that animals are just as carnivorous as us? Eating the animals that are lower on the food chain than them. Think McFly! Think!

I'm personally offended by all vegetarians. After all, plants are living things too. Why must you end wheat's life cycle just so you can have your bread?

And I am terribly offended by the terrible act of tearing a tree from its native land, and skinning it of its bark before turning it into lumber to make your homes.

To you, I say good day sir. I said good day sir!

(the above post was typed with my tongue firmly placed in my cheek)

Last time I checked not all animals eat other animals. The ones that do, eat them for survival, it's instinct. Humans don't need to eat animals to survive, they eat them because that's what we were taught. Which IMO, is wrong. Animals have nervous systems and pain receptors, they can feel pain like humans do. Just because they don't have the "intelligence" to speak for themselves and voice what they are thinking, doesn't mean we have the right to slaughter them.

So, let's take an evolutionary look at things.

Way back when man had no preconceptions, why did we start on the path of killing and eating animals? There was no one there to teach us then.

Well, since there's no way in hell that everyone on Earth is going to become a vegetarian and start to respect animals, here's MY solution:

LEGALIZE CANIBALISM!

That's right! Only THEN shall both humans and animals truly be equal! Imagine... you could go to your local butcher and buy a pound of human meat, imported from some no-name third ot fourth world country... Ah, hickory smoked poor folk rump roast, with only a 20% chance of being contaminated with either AIDS of cholera!

You are aware that plants can sense "pain" as well, yes? And you are also aware that humans are omnivores, as indicated by their mouth and teeth structure, yes? Humans naturally crave both meat and vegetation, as do many other members of the animal kingdom. If you want to provide scientifc arguments, the one around "instinct" isn't one you ought to pursue.

We both know that's not true. :)

All you eat is vegetables? That's not healthy at all! Where are you getting protein?

What else do you eat besides vegetables and fruits? As far as I am concerned, it is true.

Plants have no nerves and no central nervous system, they don't feel pain.

I hate repeating myself, go look for yourself in the past pages, there was a huge list of foods with protein...like beans, nuts, tofu etc.

Yes, plants can "sense" where the sun is, and venus fly traps can "sense" an insect is on them, but there is a difference between "sensing" and actually feeling pain.

Regards....you're a moron.
