Annihilation

yeah, the original mini is only about half the book

What are you talking about, he's the coolest.
And with H.o.t.U. now that's the God I pray to before a exam.:)

You are exactly what I am talking about.

First of all I said Thanos The End. All together as in the comic book series. Secondly don't talk to me about how cool Thanos is when you haven't even read The Thanos Quest or Infinity Guantlet Saga nor do you care to since you think The End and the Hear of The Universe is the best cosmic aspect Marvel has to offer.

Thanos is the Marvel universe's cosmic plot device. Even his biggest fans cop to that. :p

I wonder what Thanos will finally do in Annihilation. So far he's just sat on the sidelines with his annoying fairy chick and bonded with Annihilus over how badass and evil they both are.

I've been enjoying every Annihilation mini quite a lot. Super-Skrull is probably the weakest of the four, and Ronan seems to be the least interconnected, but Kl'rt's army-building and Gamora's involvement, respectively, have made each of them interesting enough to keep me buying. I thought Nova's was the best initially, but the Silver Surfer mini has pulled ahead. Not by too much, but I find myself more excited for the SS issues than any other mini's.

The Infinity war crossed over into lots of other books. So the trade inclused the six issue mini plus about 5 more issues worth of material from tie-in titles

He's basicly Dr. Doom on a Cosmic Scale.

Ouch, I hope he's not TOO much like Doom? Doom is the single most boring baddie I've ever read about. I honestly don't see how he has any following - he's basically a Machiavellian remix with Frankenstein Syndrome.

I can show you a book that will change your mind. Garaunteed. :)

That was meant for Kotagg, your post was just obnoxious and got in the way.

Lay it on me, Elijya - as it is I'll apparently be breaking $100 with the back issues I need to order now. :D

And Corp, I know, and I can respect others' tastes. However, there are two reasons I dislike him. First, I'm a *heavy* reader of Fantasy, and the Machiavellian archetype is so played out in my mind that by the time I got to reading anything about Doom I was tired of it.

Second, I don't like "popular" characters. By default. This is why Gambit is my favorite character of all time. ;) Well, also because he's a bad-ass ladies' man like myself, of course.

Ah so you get the cross overs sweet

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic about Gambit or not. :(

I'm not, he's seriously my favorite character.

Ok, so you were being sarcastic about not liking "popular" characters, then?

I know, I was agreeing with you

Hmm..from what I've seen, he's not popular insofar as he's known by non-comic readers.

I mean, he's not so low on the list as someone like Jubes or friggin Speedball, but he's no Wolverine or Magneto. I know a whole assload of people who don't read comics but know those two, and have not an inkling as to who Gambit is.

(By the way, Assload is a metric measurement, I think.)

yeah, but just because you're not Superman Batman, Spider-Man or Wolverine doesn't mean you're not popular

on the popularity scale, Gambit is firmly on the "is" side

Practically everyone who's ever watched the cartoon loves Gambit. I hate every single one of them, too. I can't stand Gambit. His very existence, not to mention the size of his following, makes me want to spew bile.

No offense. :)

People like you should kneel down in a corner and die quietly...

You know how many times Heart of Darkness surpasses the gems even if you add the 7th gem to the collection, an unlimited amont.
And this is also as many times the end saga surpasses the I.G. quest saga.

A) BAH! has a point.
B) Internet threats are rather passé
C) Have you even read Marvel: The End? No.
D) Have you read The Infinity Gauntlet Sage? No. (I'm afraid I still have to do this too, but I've been exposed to Thanos through other comics).

Fact is, you really don't know anything worth **** about Thanos, so don't try and downplay those who do.

A) Yes, he does, considering you just admitted you haven't read anything with Thanos in it... ever.
B) I class all 'you should die' things onto the same lump of bull****. Internet thug talk.
C/D) Then come back when you've read them.
