GOOD GREIF!!

I just read JLA #1
.........
I know that they've tried to update Black Lightning's look, but come on!! Is this the best they could do?? Man...is this the only way they see black men? Bald???

He now looks like Luke Cage and Henry Irons.

not sure who did that art work...

Honestly, I would like to see a superhero with an afro.

No offense, but there arent that many other hair styles to work with besides the Bald look. Dreadlocks would just look plain stupid, that leaves you with something like a flat top.

Bald
Dreadlocks
Flast Top

Mike Mayhew

Logans face is CREEPY!

Stay back..she's to young for you. :o

Baldness is just the look these days for black men

Yeah, John Stewart isnt bald in the comics, there goes that one. I agree, its crazy, but celldog, do you just read comics looking for racist acts or somehting?

Would you prefer Steel to have dreadlocks? Or Black Lightning to have an afro?

Last time I saw Black Lightning he had a "fade" haircut, another hairstyle prevelant amongst black comic book characters, I didnt see any complaints then. Instead of celebrating a diverse line-up on the JLA, like always celldog brings out the race card to ***** about something.

The bald thing is a little annoying, but it's not that big a deal.

I guess that's my point. It's kinda annoying.

Still, it's not as bad as every other female character getting raped these days.

Which characters have been raped?

Sue Dibney, Black Cat, Inertia, the current Speedy, and others who I can't remember off the top of my head.

You'd be surprised how many women that happens to in real life. I don't think the comics are exaggerating it that greatly.

At least, no more than they exaggerate everything else under the sun.

I know. I just think it's an over used comic book plot device. Especially to give a heroine "character developement."

Bald
Dreadlocks
Flast Top

I don't know what a "flast" top is but if you meant "flat" top...uh...this ain't '89. No one except maybe old men have a haircut like that.

Baldness is just the look these days for black men

Some blacks go bald, most don't. The haircut he already had was fine...neither Cage or Lightning should be bald, IMO.

Shaft, Mace Windu, Nick Fury.... all bald, all samuel l jackson.

Mr. Terrific isn't bald yet. Is Moon Knight bald?

Don't forget the Kingpin being bald in Daredevil movie..

Why do we ****ing focus on their hair so much? If they were going around going "hey Jive Turkey! Cut me some slack jack" I would understand, but really who cares as long as the character is written correctly and his stories are interesting.

Because how they are presented is just as important as how they talk.

This was just ridiculous.
