Matt said:
Try reading a history book.
1) Jesus was not arrested for being a Hebrew criminal, he was arrested for crimes agains the Empire.
2) A crowd of Jews did not gather to demand Jesus' death or vote that a murderer be free so Jesus died. In fact, the ONLY text that mentions any Roman tradition of the governor releasing a criminal at Passover is the bible.
The bible has been altered so many times it is not even funny. The parts about the Jews killing Jesus is just a way to make Christianity look better.
Historically the Jews were in no way responsible for Jesus' death. Jesus' preached to be the son of God, this was a crime against the Roman Empire and the governer Pilate (Who for the record, was renowned for his cruelty) put Christ to death. That simple.
For the record, there is a big difference betwee nthe New Testament and Old Testament, the old testament is pretty much exactly the same as it was thousand of years ago because the Jews are ****in hardcore, the same can not be said for the new testament, saddly

But I do agree with Matt, anyone who blames the Jews for killing Jesus, is ridiculous, because if they had any clue on Biblical thought they'd know, that in terms of the story, that he needed to die to fullfill the multitude of prophiecies. People need to realize that the bible works in one big story, all the events in the old testament lead up to the new testament, and that Jesus according to the Bible needed to die... That's my bit on people who are anti-semites for that ridiculous reason...
I'm Catholic too..Kinda sorta.
Thats why I dont believe you.
No, your just ignorant, that's why you don't believe him.
how would you know, were you there? I dont believe alot of things, but what I do believe is Passion was a good movie that shows you that Jesus went through alot just to save us from ourselfs and all we can do to thank him is argue over who killed him? who cares. the fact is that Jesus died, for us.
That's the exact reason I don't like the film. Jesus had a message, it was a wonderful message about love and tolerance, and what does this movie preach? That the Jews killed Jesus, and we should all feel sorry, and be good christian because some man thousands of years ago suffered so much... You know how many people have been killed and tortured? How about the Jews in the spanish inquisition? Also those who can't acknowledge facts and history because there religion contradicts it, IMO, are insecure in there religion.
As for hte movie, it's got some cool cinematography but it's a ****ty movie. Needlessly graphic, useless characters, terrible structure, and utterly ridiculous... The aztec sacrifices were cool though
Make a note: I'm a catholic, who's actually read the bible, and knows what he talking about. Not someone who just simply is going off what he saw on TV when he was a little kid.
