Ant-Man and The Wasp Ant-Man and the Wasp News and Speculation Thread - Part 1

Pretty hard living up to BP and IW for hype but I'm expecting a lot of fun regardless and a good film. The first Ant man film was probably in a similar situation coming straight after AoU and being a much smaller scale film.

I think this is a film people could sit back and relax and enjoy much more. There's far less hype and the weight of expectation than on Black Panther (the first major black superhero movie) and Infinity War (the culmination of all the MCU movies so far).

It doesn't have so much resting on its shoulders.

Personally, I won't even bother checking out Infinity War in theaters. I'm not a huge fan of Civil War and its trailer bored me to death.

But I'll definitely watch this (the original is one of my fave MCU entries) and Black Panther.

I'm guessing the building Hank wheeled off is another Pym Tech property.

Hank and Hope seemed to have built a ship capable of navigating the quantum realm.

So looks like the Feds are after Hank and Hope as well.

There is a rumor kicking around that this version of Ghost might be the daughter of Bill Foster.

It sounds like they've changed the beat for Ants Invasion. Or maybe it's just a cover. The original song is played more straight. The one in the trailer has more of a shuffle.

That’s looks really fun and cool. The first one is in my top 5 MCU movies so I’m excited for this, it looks like a huge step up in just about every department. Some really cool displays of power here.

They never said the timeline for the movie from what I remember. This can be what happen right after Cap broken him out or during IWs.

Im not sure what I have to think about this. I expected a little bit more as just fun and the Music is a Little bit over the top. On the other side, for the General audience the civil war references will be help and I like the trolley-scene

Same. I mean, I’m sure I’ll love BP and IW, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Ant-Man, and that we’ve not only gotten an Ant-Man movie but a sequel with Wasp still blows my mind. I don’t do Thursday night previews too often but I’ll be there for this one.

First of all I am so glad they included a Giant Man scene. Scott shouldn't be complaining about Wasp having blasters and wings. Other than that not only do ya'll have the same power set. You can go from "honey I shrunk the kids" to "run it's Godzilla" in 2.5 seconds. Unless Wasp can go giant too in which case well...damn.

Edit: omg, it's gonna look so awesome seeing Thanos knock down Giant-Man. Ik he's gonna do it.

That trailer was really enjoyable, and looks like it's everything I wanted in an Ant-Man film, with some fun looking shrinking scenes. Also a giant pez dispenser, amazing!

Excellent. Love the trailer. It's everything you need from an Antman movie. Lower stakes, less spectacle, perfect way to decompress after Infinity War.

It’s crazy that Ant-Man has a sequel yet the Fant4stic reboot that was hyped by FOX is in limbo.

Looks great, glad that they are actually addressing Scott's choice to become a fugitive in CW and that its part of the story here.

The action all looks great again, loved it in the first movie and seeing Wasp in action was especially cool.
