Which makes me wonder if the building had any plumbing or electricity running through it.

Both of those can be self contained within the building. I'm sure Pym is smart enough and has the resources to create a building with a self contained energy source and internal plumbing system.

I read a comment where a poster compared Pym Particles to Flash's Speed Force. Both of them are inconsistent in their explanation and logic breaks down when you analyze them thoroughly, but the way I see it is that the Pym Particles actually manipulate the mass on command; when Scott punches a bad guy, his mass returns from his full human size, but when he rides Antony II he can reduce it so he'd be light enough to sit on the back of an insect. It's as improbable as Tony controls his suit with a thought.

Comic book science, it makes no sense.

Tony Stark would be dead from all that G Force he pulls as Iron Man.

Looks like a fun night out. Can't wait to see Hope kick ass. Hope she develops Jean's bubbly personality in the second one. I mean, she won't need to mourn her mum forever nor blame her old man

Lilly called Hope a b**** in the first movie. I think Hope will have lightened up since the first movie but she will still be the straight women to the goofball Scott Lang.

Hope isn't comic book Janet so won't have her personality.

I'm also hoping for better villain(s) this time around.

Not sure how they are portraying their version of Ghost but Sonny Burch looks like Justin Hammer 2.0 to me.

I don't know how easy it would be to do all the plumbing and electricity at that microscopic level. Sure, Hank could've done it, but all of that is usually a big job for one man. Normally you have a lot of workmen doing that. Maybe he had that put in super size rather than miniature size.

Yeah, I don't think she'll be bubbly either. They need a straight woman to funny man Scott, and she is it. When it was Jan, she was the lighter one compared to straight man Hank.

Of course in Guardians, they seem to have a number of funny people together at the same time. But some of them are playing it deadpan and it's more situational comedy than them being outright witty.

Arc Reactor technology created by Howard Stark and Anton Vanko in the sixties exists in the MCU and powered the Stark Industries complex in California and Stark/Avengers Tower in New York City.

Hank knew and worked with Howard for years. I'm sure Hank could of got his hands on Arc Reactor technology to power his building off the grid as a power source.

In terms of building stuff Hank isn't alone. Janet, Bill Foster, Hope and anyone else Hank might of looped in on his plans such as his old Shield colleagues could of helped him build or design any of this stuff in the past.

Awesome trailer. Ant Man is probably in the top 5 for me, enjoyed it so much. This looks even better, they already look more creative with the shrinking tech.

Similar to Shadowcat and Invisible Woman: Ability to phase through solid matter; intangibility and invisibility; able to go undetected and get past defence and security systems; lots of tech for industrial and corporate sabotage; can make others intangible and invisible too.

The Ghost in the comics was male. He was a ruthless murderer as well. He made Spymaster (one of Iron Man's long-term enemies) intangible, then while he was still in the wall, made him tangible again so that he rematerialised through solid matter, instantly killing him.

He was one of Iron Man's most feared enemies. He had him so spooked that Tony Stark resorted to sleeping in his own armour for safety.

Oh Evi looks great. Glad they ditched the bob hair do. I didn't mind it in the first film but I prefer her with long hair here.

Yeah this hair is kind of meh. Well it's better when she has it tied up when she's being The Wasp. But when it's down like that, it looks kind of wig-ish actually.

Nah. Her bob hair was so stiff and made her look older and more severe.

It's not that she can't rock short hair, because she has done that before and done it well. But the style they gave her in Ant-Man wasn't great looking.

They should've given her something more like this:

Janet (whom this is not anyway) has had hairstyles very similar to this in the comic. It's cuter and less stiff than the bob she had in the first film.

Yeah, the Ghost would've been much better and those movies would've been too. It would've been a contrast to fighting other armoured villains too.

Scott Lang was also one of Tony Stark's most trusted friends in the comics. He frequently got him to carry out various tasks for him. I think he also worked for Stark Enterprises.

I guess it's fine for the Ghost to show up here though. Both Ghost and the Scott Lang Ant-Man are creations of David Michellinie and Bob Layton, who were considered the Iron Man dream team.

Still a letdown that the modern Wasp in the MCU is Hope and not Janet. This and making a movie about Scott Lang were my biggest problems with Edgar Wright's vision for Ant-Man.
