Hate to get off topic, but did they play the Deadpool and Venom trailers by chance? I'm curious about the reactions to those as well.

I did not have either in my first viewing. I am going again tomorrow so hopefully I get different trailers.

Then it begs the question of how Scott and Hope will fit in with Infinity War? I mean I already know that Scott well Paul Rudd's character is confirmed for Infinity War but the question is when he will show up? Most likely he will show up in IW during the fight of Wakanda at the very last minute or he will show up in New York as they are fighting. As for Hope well Evangeline her character obviously is being saved for IW Part 2 and if that is the case then I wonder how they will explain her absence?

If this film is supposed to be taking place during Infinity War, I wonder if we won't see more than one Avenger show up here in cameo capacity?

I mean Falcon showed up in the first one so I can't see him showing up again during Ant Man 2. Furthermore, which other Avengers could show up?

Loved Goggins ever since The Shield.

My 2nd viewing showed Venom and not much reaction from the crowd. I am glad Marvel Studios says Marvel Studios before their trailer. Venom had the old Marvel logo hopefully that helps people know they are not connected.

Loosely it should be its own movie and not try to connect too much. The whole "If I would have called you to help when Cap needed me, would you have come?" line if in the movie should be one of the few mentions. I expect this to be before IWs or during the start of the event.

Much like Black Panther, I think this one will deal with the aftermath of Civil War and take place quite some time before Infinity War. The fact that it's being released after Infinity War is just the way the chips fell in Marvel's release schedule.

I honestly think this film has a chance to make over 100m at the bo... sorry random thought after bp achievement. If iw is great, and this film gets good buzz too going in. It's a possibility, and it's crazy to think that this is real life.

I think it'll do considerably better than the first Ant-Man did since audiences who might have missed the first one in theaters are more familiar with the character now after Civil War. It also helps that it'll have some breathing room at the box office in July.

Yeah I can see this doing drastically better than the first. Captain Marvel aside, this is the first introduction of an Mcu female superhero as a co-headliner. Female audiences can clearly see this and is evident with her prominence within the trailer.
If the movie is solid, the added female segment of the audience will help it immensely I think.

Yes Ant Man 2 if anything from the looks of it has much more of an action-movie type feel to it especially from the trailer but I bet it still has the comedic aspect

I’ve seen BP twice and the trailer gets people talking and laughing which is a much different reaction than what the first movies trailers got which was silence and even a “I don’t know about that” here and there. I think CW helped a lot.
