You'd think the villain and or Janet would be getting cast real soon.

Maybe there isn't a villain? Just Ant-Man and the Wasp trying to rescue Janet?
Possible because being potentially stuck in the subatomic realm is the villain. I am not expecting a physical villain or it will be someone we expect to die.

We will certainly get some sort of antagonist.

Stoll is still hoping his character Cross isn't dead because he would love to come back.

“I’d love to keep the party going,” Stoll says. “This is not a spoiler, I don’t know anything, but I don’t know if he’s 100 percent gone. Especially if they’re going to do this quantum realm stuff, there’s no reason why he can’t be down there somewhere.”

I'd like to see Cross back. Could be fun

Cross being back would be cool, definitely. I'm not so sure about Renner being in this just yet, I think it could just be Avengers 3 and 4 he's filming. I think it'd be cool if he's in it though.

Cross wouldn't be bad to have back. Besides Loki we have not had a villain return in another movie as the villain. Ant-Man seems to be on a small scale no pun intended and I don't know many of his villains.

I am leaning towards MODOK. Peyton Reed retweeted a MODOK meme earlier again. MODOK would be idea to showcase Wasp's signature brain zapping attack. His mechanical part can be explored by Ant-Man. His science background is a good match against Hank Pym. Perhaps they will be racing for Quantum Realm, since AIM in comics often explore such extra-dimensional frontiers.

Even with Marvel embracing the more zanny aspects of comics i can't see Modok working in the MCU. I know ant-man can afford a lighter tone but this will be pushing it.

Spencer said part of his job with his recent Ant-Man comic series was to revitalize his rogues gallery.

One villain that could potentially return is Martin Donovan's Mitchell Carson since he escaped with the Cross particles. They could have him join up with A.I.M of something.

Looks like the Hawkeye rumor was false https://***********/MrPeytonReed/status/847814543455641601

My guess is Renner said he was filming two Marvel movies in a row and they assumed he was talking Infinity War and Ant-Man 2, but didn't realize they were filming the Avengers films back to back.

I can't see Modok either its just a bit over the top. Dinklage would have been my pick for him though and he is likely Pip the Troll.

MODOK has a human size body and an enormous head. In one of the early comics they had him wear an exo-suit the made him 30 ft tall that matched the size of his head. So why chose an actor with a normal size head and a smaller than usual body?

It's going to be CGI either way. Choose any good actor.

With the Black Order confirmed in IWs maybe we get Supergiant as the villain. That would set up for Giant Man vs Supergiant, Lang needs a win as Giant Man. He was good in Civil War but was taken down and lacked experience. It would be cool to see him beat Supergiant and in the next Avengers try to take on Thanos as a giant. Thanos would beat his ass but still be a cool moment.

You know Supergiant isn't a giant, right? She's a super telepath.

After I looked up the character I found out she was not a giant. Someone on the Avenger board posted that in the cartoon she has the ability to get big.

Fighting Supergiant would be like fighting a combination of Jean Grey, Emma Frost and Charles Xavier.

Nice to get some information, especially with much of it coming from Peyton Reed himself.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has also confirmed that they’ll be returning to Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con this July so we can probably expect some casting news, plot details and concept art to be publicly revealed then.
