So you'll be seeing it opening night.

I just went and read the short story (which was creepy), so now this has my attention.

First trailer was great and this one is even better. When is this coming out? Didn't see it in the trailer.

It's April 17, 2020

Definitely down for this one, looks awesome and I love a good creature design.

Great trailer.

Digging the creature design.

Man do I miss the days when movie studios actually put money into practical creature effects. I am so tired of the cheap CGI crap these days honestly. Maybe that's why I love so many of the monster movies from the 80's and 90's that I watched a ton of times as a kid.

April huh? Not bad.

CGI creatures can be effective when they put effort into them. I would recommend checking out The Ritual to see a genuinely creepy CGI creature done right.

So going by the Native American chanting in the trailer it seems like the creature is officially a
Wendigo.

Now, I'm even more excited, especially going by how awesome the design looks.

Should have already given us a digital release.:argh:

Given how little money Trolls, King of Statin Island and Scoob made money for the studios than for the retailers, I think the studios have realized early rental-only VOD releases weren't gonna work.

Yeah, it's gonna be all about TV shows and low-budget filmmaking for the foreseeable future.

:ebr:
Trolls made $100 million in its first 3 weeks. Universal said they were going to increase digital releases because of Troll's performance. It was only after the theater chain mafia threatened them that Universal changed their mind.

Scoob made $50 million in its first weekend on digital beating Trolls.

And King of Statin Island was #1 its release weekend on about 10 different platforms and despite it being an R rated film.

Sounds like success to me.

And there is no denying that compared to the $0 they would have gotten in 2020 without theatrical releases, the digital releases have been worth it. And digital releases dont stop them from doing future theatrical releases. So more money can and will be made.

For a movie like Antlers I do think it makes sense to release it VOD. It was never gonna make a bunch of theatrical money, it almost certainly never will now.

I'm beginning to think Disney has forgotten about this film.

I really don't comprehend why they don't just release it to VOD. This movie has been done for over a year now and they're just sitting on it to, what, lose money on it in February or something?
