Are there any films out there that you had hoped would get a sequel, but never had the chance, because of budget, casting problems etc?

Chronicles of Riddick
Sahara
Lost in Space (use to)

Rocky
Rambo
Terminator
Delta Force
Predator

Oh wait...

I always wanted to see a sequel to the 1990s "Super Mario Bros." movie; they left it wide open for a potentially-great story. Nowadays, they'd have to recast though, because Hoskins, Leguizamo, and Mathis are all too old for their respective roles.

Chronicles of Riddick. And people are gonna hate me for this, but I always wanted a sequel to the American Godzilla remake.

i know im gonna bashed on this but i would like to see another Elektra film.
wasnt bad to me.
and
Leage of Extraordinary Gentleman

South Park: Bigger. Longer, and Uncut.

Lost in Space
Back to the Future (Sometimes)
Ghostbusters
Blade Runner (Sometimes)
Matrix (Real movies, not Mangas with Ted.)

Oh, the nights that I have longed for a sequel to The Shadow starring Alec Baldwin

And Batman and Robin.
I was reading about Batman Triumphant and I really wish that would have been made.

The film I wish would get a sequel would be Serenity. A great movie that Universal had no faith in and should've been released on its original April 2005 date instead of September 30, 2005. And because of that date, it bombed at the box office.

I wish Universal took a chance on the movie and allowed Tim Minear or Joss Whedon to do the sequel, because it would've been a labor of love and not a cash-in on the first movie. (Does anyone remember Before Sunset? That was a sequel and it came out despite the fact Before Sunrise didn't hit it big.) Or at least another TV series...

Scarecrow would've been cool, but Harley without Joker is lame.
Besides, you wanted another Batman movie with the Schumacher vibe?

Have you seen the Trailer for #23? Schumacher could make a hell of a good thriller Batman movie. The Joker was going to return from what I've read.

I'm not saying that Schumacher couldn't make a good Batman movie, because he has made some good movies, but he WAS NOT going to make Batman Triumphant a good movie. It was going to have the same campy, crappy vibe that Batman Forever and Batman & Robin had.

Schumacher definitely COULD, but we know that he wasn't.
