I don't know the exact date, but it's definitely in May. But I just read that he filmed the scenes Feb. 17. So I don't think seeing him in that episode is going to do us any good.

Yeah, he'd probably wait until way after Feb. 17 to start bulking up for SM3. At least June or July. No need to get a head start when you already know you're the villain in a Spider-Man flick (which is already filming, by the way). Wait until right before your scene, and lift a dumbbell a couple times. That should do the trick.

I wasn't saying he didn't bulk up at all. What I meant was that he probably looks bigger now than he did back in Feb. So when we do see him on That 70's show in May, it could be misleading. I'm sure he looks bigger now than he did in Feb. And yes, I know they have been filming already. I'm not that stupid.

Maybe this is me looking into it a little too much, but maybe they don't want Topher at full "bulk" until he starts truly hating Parker and/or discovering the symbiote?

Maybe they want him to start off almost like Peter, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, eager to please JJJ. Then, as his life falls apart, he changes...perhaps Raimi's aiming for a more dramatic edge showing Brock's initial transformation into a hateful person before his final transform into Venom.

Whereas Spidey was at his strongest when he was fighting for his loved ones and for the lives of the innocent, Brock feeds off of his anger and hate...maybe his character will become larger as the film goes along, almost as if he and the symbiote were destined to be together. It can show that he was a "monster" even before the symbiote. After all, Venom is still mostly Brock's psychosis driving him, with the symbiote providing the added "muscle" to make him truly dangerous.

I dont think they're going to go for the buff up Topher look, that would just seem off. If anything I think his build will be similar to GG's maybe more buff shoulders, and biceps.

or he probably commited suicide after reading the many post here at these boards, and reading how the majority(i'm not part of that majority) think he can't play brock because he's to small of a guy, muscle mass wise.

Weird-

I watched the beginning of the That 70's Show special on TV last night when they introduced the cast for the final show, and they showed everyone but Topher Grace, which is insane since he was the star of the show for all the seasons he was there, and he is in the finale.

Maybe Topher is trying to hide his appearance until Columbia releases the first official images of him as Eddie Brock. Did anyone see the rest of the special, and if so, did they show Topher being interviewed?

One could attribute that to studio secrecy, but they could also attribute it to the good sense that led Topher to jump the leaky deathship that is "That 70s Show" before it could ruin his reputation. He's washed his hands of it, as I hear. He'll be in the finale to show his loyalty, but he'll not dirty his hands as Eric "Used-to-be-realistic-but-is-now-Uber-Sex-Crazed-Nerd-who-brings-Star-Wars-toys-into-the -tub-with-him" Forman more than he absolutely has to.

Its weird that he didn't film in front of a live audience. But I agree with AnimeJune, while the show is great, Topher made a good move to avoid being "That 70's Show Kid". I mean, most of the cast shouldn't have that problem at all. They're all cool in their individual ways and should succeed outside. But I think Topher and the guy who played the lazy-do-nothing-guy with the curly hair would have the most problems with getting out of theri casted image.
